Not really. The install base of PS4, Xbox One and PC is bigger than the install base of just the PS4 so Naughty Dog theoretically could make more money and reach more people if they went 3rd party. They are happy where they are so it isn't a problem, but if the argument is that Nintendo could make more money as a 3rd party developer then the same can be said of Naughty Dog.
They would make the most money if they focused only on mobile. They would make money on other consoles, but the money and focus spent making a big budget AAA console game could be used to make one or two games on mobile that will cost less to make, reach a much wider audience, have access to more potential revenue, and have less quality titles to compete with on the platform.

To reply to your reply of my comment: What I'm saying is that console games cost way more to make than mobile games, and though margins are better, return is still smaller. Any effort put towards making console games on any platform would be better spent making more mobile games with better earning potential. Believe me the future I want only has one hardware maker with everyone else doing software, but the earning potential for well marketed games on mobile eclipses everything else.
I personally doubt it. Even with all the success PS4 has had, it still doesn't hold a candle to mobile money. If Nintendo stops making hardware, they will go all in on mobile. That's what shareholders would want anyway.
The lesson to be learned here won't be to make games on all devices, just mobile because there are few quality titles among a sea of crap that anything fun with solid marketing will do incredibly well.

Everything has borrowed from media before it including the Witcher so any arguments about "oh this game took from this" are pretty pointless to me. Nothing is original in this day and age.

Well I can't speak for everyone, but RIME is a game that has me just as excited that has a similar art direction and tone of whimsical adventure. It's unfortunate that all the publishing issues have slowed it down and that we didn't see it at E3.
Well Nintendo is making mobile games and there have been rumors hinting that NX will work with mobile in someway so maybe success with that audience isn't all that far fetched. But I can't say one way or the other because none of us have any idea what this thing is, except Ubisoft clearly.

lol I like how all the people who said it would never pass 500k now saying it took two years so it is irrelevant. Just face it the majority of you said this would never happen and it did.
