All this technology does is provide other forms of displays. So if it means that much to you that displays be rectangles then you are going to have a hard time adjusting to anything in the future my friend. Not to mention that this isn't even for sure set for consoles as it could be QOL. You are on the gimmick bandwagon, and that will get you left behind in any tech industry, let alone gaming.
I agree they have improved greatly now (especially for their big titles), but they needed more clear and diversified marketing at launch. The wii U is already not a clear cut console so they need to have their messaging straight out of the gate.
Weird time to write this. I agree wii U could improve feature-wise, and the console sales are low, but they are literally laughing at all the straight profit that is coming in with Amiibo. Sales are low indeed but the console is profitable and money is going to be coming in. The red danger is gone atm, but they should be better prepared next time around (looking at you marketing department).
Lol you forget to mention that Nintendo is gaining large margins on all of their million sellers because most if not all of them are 1st party. I don't have to look to know that the majority of million sellers on Xbox and PS4 are 3rd party and are bringing less money back to their respective companies.
No single console is good enough to be my only console personally. Wii U is great as is my Xbox 1, PS4, and PC. However having to be limited to the options on only one of those would be a hell that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
lol they are selling less hardware than everyone else in the console space, constantly being hammered for business decisions and lack of 3rd parties and you guys are out here trying to act like they are being held to high. You guys sure picked a weird console gen to bang this drum.
Lol you must not have been around before mariokart 8 released. Positive articles about Nintnedo were few and far between. Spend more than a couple of hours reading and observing before you comment on industry trends and your results will improve.

Fist of all, you are arguing why sales matter for games when 80's baby is talking about for hardware. All of Nintendo's first party games (which are mostly the only games on Wii U) are selling numbers that contend with games released on 360/PS3 which had much larger install bases. Gamers should care about sales of hardware, but only to the effect that extremes in those sales can affect the install base and the way developers make games for the console. People who are arguing the sales...
As someone who has played a crap ton of games on my PS4 and X1, I would absolutely say this is true. It is a shame when people get so hung up on hardware that they forget what the hardware is there for. THE GAMES. And Wii U has a ton of great ones. If the Wii U is not your cup of tea then that is fine and makes sense. But there are great games that I don't like, yet I am willing to acknowledge their status as a good game. Take the blinders off.
Wow you would have a hard time justifying playing games on consoles at all after that rant. Based on everything you said, PC is the way to go based on how you are bashing the wii u. Luckily for gamers who play games and not hardware, we have a whole world to access on all consoles and PC. Life without hate is a lot more fun.
Lol I don't know what your definition of a core/casual gamer is, which are both pretty uneducated terms to use because everyone has so many different definitions in their mind for them, but I think sadly it is representative of the industry. I own all 3 consoles, and I would be hard pressed to say that any of them truly provide memorable experiences and adventures. So many games now are just going through the motions, and personally I think that the reasons gamers glue so closely to sales...
It's also funny to see someone claim something is true of one particular fanbase, that is true in every fanbase.
Makes sense. Amiibos are like straight profit. They needed a profit boost and will get one even if they don't sell a huge amount of these.
lol nobody is forcing anything. You can play smash and any other game without them. Not to mention plenty of adults are buying them too. You sound pretty far off and need to get over that maturity complex.
lol and those of us who have both PS4/Vita and WiiU/3DS look at your trolling attempt and just laugh.
@torchic
simmer down buddy. You assume they don't have much to show when it is more likely they didn't want to show it all. Everyone is talking about how the world wasn't populated, but if you recall the crazy robot chase was something Aonuma said would be an example of events that happen in game. The purpose of the demo was clearly to show off the scale and layout of the environment with a taste of battle. If you think there won't be more to do and a warp op...
Is it just me or do SMG's seem a bit overpowered? I feel like a saw people go down so quick when getting shot by them. I guess it's a good thing MCC is out if people aren't feeling the direction they are taking through 343
What isn't surprising is that this article won't gain the traction that the watch dogs article has, which was a game that anyone with half a brain can see was set up to fail in almost every way.
lol Trying to use gamecube adapter sales as justification for disapproval is ridiculous. By your logic the Dualshock 4 automatically sucks because plenty of gamers who are good at Street Fighter will likely buy a fightstick for Street Fighter V. The gamecube controller is the preferred controller for smash players over ANY controller. That includes Xbox and Dualshock (which are both possible for Melee through Dolphin and I have tried them both). If you don't think fans of fighting franchi...
