lol it doesn't make sense to show it until it looks better. Especially when framerate looks that bad.

"Runs Mariokart 8"

Seems more like walking to me. I have a job so I don't need low quality free emulators but maybe they should wait til the game actually runs well to put it in videos and articles.

lol this reaction to one positive bit of nintendo news in a sea of negative nintendo news. Life must be rough for you mate. Hope you find happiness somewhere down the line.

There are a couple of signs that point to Nintendo focusing on power and some originality this time around. For one they have claimed that the NX will likely be region free which is a departure from previous consoles. Next Miyamoto has claimed he won't have a hand in the hardware development this time around. There have been several posts that have gone up to hire people outside the company from the western market which could mean this is different from any console we have seen from them ...

I wouldn't be so quick to think that the PS4 and X1 successors are that close. I mean we haven't even seen all of the first major releases yet from Sony and Microsoft's major studios. I think this gen has plenty of life left.

But then again what do I know lol

That's true I don't know for sure. I would be fine with that because I think gamers need to be more open to different control methods, but based on all the discussions I have seen in the past decade, my perception is that gamers just want to play with a controller similar to what they are used to and when new methods come out they may be embraced initially, but eventually are not the method of choice.

I know that most people plan on using this as a screen rather than the motion applications of vr, but even so if you thought the stories of people throwing wiimotes into their tv's was bad, just wait until they can't see what they are doing. Even a few people just sitting on their couches will find creative ways to accidentally break stuff when their vision is blocked. Especially when gamer rage comes into the picture.

I'm pretty sure most of the games play with controllers. AR like what is shown in hololens will take off more than VR in long run I think simply due to the fact that there are more real world applications and you can still see the world around you in it. VR will likely still be popular enough though. It's funny how the people hating on motion controls with the wii will accept them for the games that use Move with VR though.

lol funny how much press this is getting. People will go crazy for anything that's "free". Too bad those people also assume their time isn't worth anything.

I think they posted this in the perspective of, "man if even someone as crazy as Kanye is against these, then maybe that will be a wake-up call to stop supporting them."

Jokes kinda on you for buying those games without a solid knowledge of what the NX even is.

lol you assume taking the time to talk about the merits of another company while already in an interview is taking so much focus away from his other duties at Xbox. Whether it is genuine or not, it is sad to see that positive comments like this bother you so much. That alone seems like a problem that should be a bigger priority for you than worrying about some exec showing respect.

I have played games that already do what you suggest, and having the gamepad did add tension. The physical act of looking away does more than you think in tense situations. There was a real potential for building on that too since they just scratched the surface on the possibilities that a good second screen experience can do for survival horrors, but what's lost is lost. Now VR is the next big step for survival horror.

Since they already announced that their partnership with DeNA is going to contribute to overhauling their online infrastructure for whatever the NX is going to be, I don't see how you are assuming they would be years behind in online support. Then again I also wouldn't assume that they are going to try to participate in the power arms race either.

I think conservatives typically have a bigger problem with porn and video games than liberals. I mean most of the blame video games for gun violence claims come from conservatives trying to take focus of responsible gun control off of the NRA. But both are pretty big generalizations which may not be accurate.

Yeah man that makes sense and you are completely justified in being turned off because by all accounts those features should've been here earlier. I still enjoy the games so I'm good mate.

I actually agree that Splatoon probably won't be the breakout hit it (probably) deserves to be, but your perception of how online works with wii u makes it look like you have never played a wii u. In my experience the games have been running fine online (I've played 2 CoDs, Smash, Mariokart, Tekken Tag tourney 2, Splinter Cell BL). All have produced smooth experiences, and when I do run into lag it is about as much lag as I have experienced on my PS4/X1.

I haven'...
