This is Konami you're talking about. They refuse to do anything that people have interest in. If you feign no interest maybe they will consider it. Granted, the possibility of it being a multiplayer-based title full of MTs that only takes loose inspiration from the source material is also pretty high.
I'm surprised the original Mass Effect Trilogy only made honorable mentions. Those would be my number one.
Yeah, Japan is fascinating. They can have nudity in their manga, but violence in their games is taboo. Here in the West we're the opposite.
Honestly? Not really. It was a tougher decision though, as Spyro has that nostalgia factor. I was still leaning towards Spider-Man however. Activision's recent reveal just turned a tough decision into a no-brainer.
The same way companies have made money off of games since the dawn of gaming: by selling a lot of copies, which is pretty straightforward when you have a reputation for producing quality titles. Other companies could afford to learn a thing or two from Sony. I've decided to stop supporting companies that insist they can't afford to release games without MTs or GaaS elements. Also, practices such as what Activision is pulling with the Spyro remakes just make me want to hold off on g...
Get a 3DS if you don't have one. Problem solved. What is a system but a key to a library of games? Sure, it would be nice if they focused more on the one with prettier graphics, but I've been gaming for over 25 years and the 3DS renders better graphics than consoles did when I first started. Sure, I don't turn on the old thing much anymore, but a new game would give me a reason to. I prefer my PS4 in general, but I play games, not systems.
I was going to say this sort of thing is new to Tekken, but then I remembered Gon, who should have made this list come to think of it. I'm more infuriated that novelty characters are taking up spots that could go to characters Tekken fans have been missing, and it's for this reason that I still haven't bought this game.
Ugh, this article is proof of just how much this franchise has sold out. No, we want the missing Tekken cast, and Tekken should not be about novelty characters. There are other franchises where adding in these kinds of characters makes more sense. Granted, the latest Tekken already has. :(
Since when have exclusives not mattered? Brand loyalty aside, if I had to choose between two nearly identical consoles, I'd choose the one that has more of the games that interest me. In fact, brand loyalty is only a thing because somewhere down the line some of us were won over by a certain brand's lineup of games, which in turn increased interest in their next system and so forth. #exclusivesmatter
Yes, yes, and...ok, sure. It's a start. Hopefully the three more characters revealed will be other "legacy characters". Julia, Marduk and either Armor King, Bruce or Christie would be nice.
Looks like they're not even trying to disguise the adult angle with that name. That's about as bluntly NSFW as you can call something.
It’s highly possible. Of course, this new universe will need time to build itself up as only the first brick has been laid, but there’s certainly potential for a videogame universe. This game has already gone gold from pre-orders so that’s a good sign.
*Wonders how they could possibly defend this. Reads article.* I see, so they're feigning ignorance and comparing patches to having to download two whole games. In other words, this is not a defense, and certainly not one I will accept. Call me when I can get this for $20 or less in a PSN Flash Sale.
If you want a game, you don't need to pre-order it to ensure you get a copy anymore, unless you're wanting a limited run physical release, or a special pre-order edition complete with extras. Most of the time, physical copies aren't hard to get, and failing that, digital copies are available in infinite quantities. Also, many titles aren't worth getting at launch in the current age. The decline of pre-order culture is not at all surprising.
I see. In that case, I hope Activision loses money on this game.
I will when they play like real games, have proper control schemes like real games, and are complete titles not riddled with MTs. It would help if they weren't exclusive to devices that offer none of that.
Yep. It can even be boiled down to simple math, really. If Nintendo did the sensible thing and rolled out VC I might have been a little more inclined to get it, but as it stands, my interest in Switch rests on the handful of current and upcoming exclusives, and perhaps a definitive port or two.
That said, I have a backlog full of PS4 exclusives and multiplats not on Switch that eclipse what the Switch would offer me at this point (and that’s money already spent to boot)...
I wasn’t going to say anything beyond what I did, as I was wanting to be nice and leave it at pointing out the error, but it looks like the author hasn’t heeded what I said.
Indeed. The only way they can top this is if they make an entire game that is just one literal loot box. Granted, the logistics may be difficult to work out, but what if the game isn't sold as a complete whole? Purchase of the game entitles you to access the main menu plus a selection of maps/modes, or even just one, that is completely random, but if you want more you have to pay more to roll the dice again. Physical copies of the game could be sold attached to literal loot boxes, pos...
You were nervous about playing this game in May? You must have a small backlog. I have games that date back over 10 years in mine, lol. I have games in my backlog that I'll never admit having never played, but I can say I still have Horizon in my backlog, with every intention of playing it eventually. Not quite enough time has passsd for me that I feel that much shame over not having played it, although I do hope to get to it before it happens as this is definitely not a decade-long b...
