Ellie was a companion to Joel in the first game though. I think the decision to give Ellie a companion is more rooted in that.
This is the truth. ^ The alt-right somehow think it's ok to get offended by things and demand they be censored as long as it's for right-wing reasons, but in reality they're just as much of a cancer as the SJWs. The good news is both the alt-left and the alt-right are actually a vocal minority with most people being moderate or centre. The bad news is, content creators are yielding to them.
I think it's an overblown fad right now, but once that dies down I don't think it will go away so much as settle into its niche, with Battle Royale continuing to be a sub-genre of online shooters, but no longer being something that every dev needs to try.
There's room for both, really. I like when games are remade or get the VIP treatment in some way, shape or form, but failing that, just having access to the classics is great too. Either way, the past is made accessible to modern audiences.
The short answer is, we don't and it's not. Some Xbox and Switch gamers are just put out because they have a lower userbase, and want in on the 80 million + Sony has.
Oh no! I wouldn't buy another if mine died. I'd just be really sad. Or I'd pay the fee to have it sent to Sony for repairs.
If you want to get technical the best selling Xbox console shared a gen with the third (soon to be fourth) best selling PlayStation console and still ended up a couple million behind it when the dust settled. Getting technical doesn’t do Xbox any favours though.
They’re going to need a whole lot more than a few studio purchases if they want to compete with Sony. For one thing they’ll actually have to use their studios, instead of just adding them to their collection like a gamer adds to their backlog. In fact, they will have to use them for more than one game and not discard them immediately afterwards. Even then, Sony still has the upper hand, but it would be a start. Only delusional Xbox fans think this means they’re the ones with a leg up thou...
I don't care about soccer or sports games in general, but I love anything that's bad for EA, so hooray!
And forego their annual or bi-annual Assassin's Creed cash cow? I'm sure that will continue to be a thing, albeit with either some forced multiplayer complete with MTs or a ton of DLC that keeps on going, and season passes that leech as much from the consumer's credit cards as humanly possible without losing said consumers as customers. Or maybe both. At this rate they should just launch their own GaaS service complete with DRM that is required to access any future Ubisoft titl...
Nope, they're both just as irritating and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. I look forward to a time when people can just play games again without getting offended over stupid things and inserting identity politics into topics where it isn't relevant.
If historical inaccuracy is such a big issue, then any kind of fiction that has the audacity to take liberties with history in any way, shape or form should be banned. FYI, there are games set around WWII that have zombies in them, which as far as I know never happened period. Should I be offended by those? SJWs are annoying as heck, but the right-wing equivalent is really grinding my gears lately. I don't know how to explain to them what the point of a videogame is. It would be wron...
She must have some reason for saying this. She wasn't complaining about this when she worked on Uncharted. She's thankfully left EA, but it sounds like they corrrupted her. Maybe she was paid under the table to say this as a parting gesture to the parasite of a company she formerly worked for?
Sounds like the series has advanced quite a bit since I last played it. Alas, I sold my soul to Animal Crossing twice and it's a miracle I managed to get it back, so I vowed never to again. Maybe I'll reverse that stance if I reach a point in my life where I can afford to have that obsession again.
Hopefully that means the content fans want, such as characters who should have been in the game, will finally be coming. I'll pass on the season pass though. We all know how the first season pass turned out.
You have to go back to at least the fourth gen for that kind of simple controls, and QTEs aren't that hard if you know the layout of your controller, but otherwise, great list. I'd also like to add being able to play games as soon as they're opened, without having to deal with that install and patch nonsense. I both loved and hated memory cards, but stuff like inserting my memory card into slot 2 of my friend's PS2 and being able to use my Tekken 5 characters with their cust...
They cater to a variety of different genre preferences too. As long as Sony can continue to provide quality in that diversity, I will continue to support the PlayStation brand.
Yeah, he seems to be largely forgotten by virtually anyone who produces a Spider-Man adaptation in another form of media, but I'm not sure why as he's awesome.
I've had a lot of waifus in games over the years. Your point?
Day 1 if they do.
