All the more reason for a sequel. If the game's as good as it looks, we'll be wanting that.
I would hope that the most recent entry in a series would be the prettiest.
The problem a lot of Japanese devs have with the Xbox brand is that it just doesn't sell well in their country, ergo, it's difficult to justify the cost of releasing a game for it, unless it's a AAA multiplat that will release internationally. I'm pretty sure Xbox architecture isn't the issue. MS either needs to figure out how better to market their system in Japan or concede that region to Sony and Nintendo.
That's not really well explained. REmake also added a lot of new stuff, and content that the original creators had to cut due to the original game being on discs and carts that didn't have enough space. It was still called a remake. It's true that RE2 managed to get around that for the most part due to it being on two discs, and it sounds like what was cut was more due to the game ultimately going in a different direction than what was initially planned. It's also true tha...
They probably have to wait longer for matches due to a lower user-base.
They're only a villain to those who can't compete with them, and the fanboys/fangirls of those companies. For the businesses focusing on this, it's merely an angle they can exploit to try and get the consumer to sympathize with them and hopefully spur sales. That "hindering the progression of the gaming industry" bit is pure hyperbole. So is calling Sony a villain. None of this seems to be halting PS4 sales, which have now apparently topped 80 million. Sony: 1 Dram...
Thanks for letting me know. I have the PS3 version, so I've held off, but... *orders immediately after reading article* I might have a problem. Thanks for feeding it.
Three "new features", and they start with "the graphics will be improved". I would hope so. I think only that last improvement is deserving enough to be called a "new feature". That said, I'm excited for this and look forward to when it comes out.
If that's what they want to do, they should also release a VC machine where we can buy and download retro classics that aren't limited to a preset selection. Or they could just use the Switch as its design lends itself perfectly to the variety of console and handheld titles that have come before, and they're squandering that. Plus they'd make so much more if they just allowed digital classics to be purchased on the Switch. People will buy their retro consoles regardless for...
"Is PlayStation in Trouble?" *Looks at sales figures* Is the collective intelligence of journalists in trouble?
There's more than one thing wrong with that statement. First, console gamers will have to abandon physical media for the most part, and while some have, most haven't. Statistics indicating the prevalence of digital sales are inevitably influenced by mobile being all-digital and the popularity of digital-only services on PC such as Steam, GoG, etc. Even console-only statistics are influenced by some games being digital only, and by Limited Run physical copies often being limited in ...
Yeah, but these supposed critics are able to play those other games on their Xboxes, so they don't care nearly as much. If something is moving PS4 units specifically on the other hand, they'll suddenly have a lot more to say about it.
I think visual novels, as the name implies, are merely stories with choices, so I don't think it's quite correct to call them a game. Games like this one, however, do have enough player input to warrant being considered such. In any case, labels are merely semantics that exist to let the consumer know what they're getting, so you can call it whatever you want. What's important is whether it's enjoyable, and though that's subjective, many people have and continue to ...
If you want happy queer relationships that last, this is not the game for you. If The Last of Us II is anything like its predecessor, it's not a game with a happy story, and no one's going into it expecting it to be.
But....but...crossplay. /s In all seriousness, it's great that PlayStation is getting the recognition it deserves for consistently delivering a top-notch lineup.
This cross-play debacle is overblown. I've never had a problem connecting to other users on Fortnite on the PS4. Heck, it only takes seconds to be placed in a game with 99 other users. Perhaps the XB1 and Switch don't have a strong enough userbase on their own, but the PS4 certainly does.
She's the one featured in additional canon material, so having her male counterpart feature more prominently in promotional material seems like a good tradeoff. Actually, I think she got the better deal. Should we be equally offended that there won't be additional stories about him? Either way, we still get a choice of characters so who cares who's featured more on the game case?
Those are pretty good prices for PS4 specific drives. Drives that aren't PS4 specific are normally cheaper but the discounted price for the 2TB is about what I paid for mine, which is a 2TB Seagate.
That's great! Here's hoping people leave EA in droves.
This is one area I'll give MS props in. They have been working towards improving accessibility for disabled gamers. Here's hoping Sony and Nintendo will follow suit.
