While I think Telltale was in need of a shakeup to their formula, I did not think they needed to close their doors. It’s unfortunate that they ended up the way they did, and I was kind of looking forward to some of their upcoming projects.
Hmmm...that's a tough one. Can I give it to Insomniac for one game? Spider-Man is great though. Persona 5 is also great. Maybe I should give it to Atlus? Atlus (publisher or parent company) hasn't been as active as they were in the past, but when they do release a game these days it's usually great, which is more than can be said for the works of some companies. It says a lot when I'd rather play their dancing titles than Bethesda's Fallout 76.
I'm guessing their plan was that we would just roll with their scheme to cheat us out of more of our money. In that case, EA needs to know its audience better, starting with the revelation that we as consumers aren't idiots, and will not treat everything that comes out of their head as pure gold out of some blind worship. If we know we're going to get swindled we're not just going to let it happen. Also, they should get off their high horse. If there was such a thing as th...
Bioware. I blame EA for that, but the fact remains that the Bioware of last gen is not the Bioware we have now.
Well, Yuri Lowenthall really nailed Spider-Man this year.
He's certainly one of the most talkative personalities...
Interesting, but irrelevant. Having choice in games is a great thing regardless, and I don't generally think about what other people choose when making my choice as that's between me and...no one, really. I actually generally choose the female option if there is a gender choice as I like to take what I perceive as the road less traveled. However, I generally go with the male option if there are social sim elements, especially if there are romance options, as it just feels more natu...
Yeah it did!
It's actually more cringe IMHO in REmake, where good acting is attempted, but at times is still pretty bad and lacks the charm of much of the iconic lines from the original, and at others the lines are just super cheesy no matter how hard someone tries at it. For example, I don't think it's possible for the line "it's a monster!" to be taken seriously. Nope. Some of the edits to the original lines don't make much sense either. "A little later and you wou...
Hmm...the cast of the first Resident Evil game comes to mind from games I've played, although that's more charming than grating. I've seen AVGN episodes featuring worse voice acting in games I've never personally played, does that count?
People want to play games that weren't built around MTs or season passes, and which aren't buggier than a tree full of termites? Who knew? /s
Eric Barone for creating a love letter to my childhood.
Here's hoping that will mean a VC for the Switch as these classic consoles were Nintendo's excuse for being too cheap/lazy to implement that on their latest system, but knowing them it will just mean it's harder to get classic games period now.
Sweet! I've been enjoying these and am a little sad this will be the last one.
I question that metric as I can't imagine Fallout 76 sold anywhere near as much as Spider-Man. Fallout 76 shouldn't even be compared to RDR2 as although both are open world games in popular series, one is a well-designed game, and one is a shameful pile of feces. That said, I do genuinely believe Fortnite is this year's trending game. Granted, it has also had many more months to trend than the games it's being compared to.
Not to mention Fortnite is available on multiple devices through their respective services, so it's not even an exclusive to Epic's service unless someone is only interested in playing that game on PC.
And what, pray tell, does Epic have to fall back on when this whole Fortnite fad inevitably dies down? Epic's service may have a game Steam doesn't, but Steam has many, many titles under its banner, many of which are truly exclusive to it. Epic really can't compete with Valve in the long run so they had best milk Fortnite for all its worth while they can.
Wow...that's abysmal for a major home console by one of the Big 3. It's far from a true failure like the Wii U was, but considering the PS4 has sold more than double what the XB1 has, it's not even a competition at all. Heck, I'm sure the Switch will top 40 Million in less time. To make things worse, VGChartz tends to overtrack Xbox sales.

Did...Donald do something I agree with for a change? I must be reading this wrong.
