Well, let's be honest...every site seems to be dominated by one group or another. So, oh well, N4G has more PS3 fanboys than 360 fanboys. Would it make you happy if it were the other way around? Or maybe you think the ideal situation would be if there were precisely the same amount of 360 fanboys as PS3 fanboys--that way we could have even more fierce bickering back and forth.
Like you, I enjoy all my consoles, but I just happen to enjoy my PS3 a little more. Is that so bad...
Hit the nail on the head. Yes, I think those probably would be my top three reasons that I think the PS3 is a great console to own.
But I would also need to mention great Blu-ray playback, quiet operation, and internet browsing functionality (yes, I use it and I like it).
The best thing though, are the games. For my tastes, the PS3 seems to get more of the types of exclusives that appeal to me than I get on the 360 (and most certainly more than the Wii).
One reason not to buy a 360?
The PS3.
oh, and to avoid the RROD.
Really, they are both worth owning and I like them both, but your fanboyish comment deserved a response in kind.
I agree. Standard 1 works the best for me. Alternate 2 works pretty good for me as well, but not as good.
I love the controls. They feel a lot smoother than any other FPS I have played.
I own and enjoy both consoles, but I seriously believe that some of you are just jumping on the "poor-controls bandwagon" because you don't own a PS3 and are just trying to tear the game down any way you know how.
I love L4D, but I don't really see how it has innovated any more than Killzone 2.
You don't always get what you pay for. Some things are simply not worth the money they cost you.
Half the time I don't even have access to my online games on 360 because I don't always have the money for LIVE. Other times what happens is I pay for several months of LIVE and I end up not using it that much because I am engrossed in some single player game or a multiplayer game on my PS3. The end result is that a lot of the time I have LIVE it goes to waste, but then there are o...
You and I must be wired differently, because I think the controls are one of the best things about the game.
The other night, just for fun I was comparing Killzone 2 to Halo 3 and F.E.A.R. and I couldn't believe how jerky and unrealistic the movement is in Halo 3 and FEAR when compared to Killzone 2. The smoothness of the controls in Killzone 2 is one of the best things about it.
The motion looks good, it feels good, and I just can't understand how some people hav...
I've played the beta and I can say one thing for sure, Killzone 2's multiplayer is better than anything else I have played on either the PS3 or 360.
I thought the demo was also brilliant.
I love the demo and I have experienced no lag. I honestly have no idea what some people are talking about.
It's still the console I enjoy most.
I like my 360, but I'm sick of worrying about whether it is going to die on me again. The Wii doesn't really appeal to me at all.
PS3>360>Wii
In my opinion, of course.
Who really cares what you think? You are obviously just trolling.
I have both an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and they both have good games. I own and have beaten both Halo 3 and Gears 1 & 2 and they are all good games.
I have also played the Killzone 2 beta and the demo and you know what?...Killzone 2 is a an amazing game. For my tastes, the multiplayer surpasses Halo or Gears and the demo gives me the impression that the campaign will be an awesome experience as wel...
That would be nice. Although, obviously the graphical quality would have to be lowered somewhat. I am sure it would still look awesome.
Lucky people.
Oh well, I can wait. Only around two more weeks to wait.
All I know is that the game is going to be awesome. That's all I really care about.
Played the demo for two hours last night and I love it.
I have played it probably 20 or 30 times since it was release and all I can say is, if a mere demo of KZ2 can keep me this entertained I absolutely can't wait for the full game.
@ edgeofblade
That really doesn't make a lot of sense. Since when has co-op been a REQUIREMENT for first person shooters?
Your theory doesn't hold water. Other FPS games that lacked co-op were not docked for it. COD4 had no co-op and yet it is one of the highest scored FPS this generation. Or take Bioshock--one of the highest rated games, period--not only did it lack a co-op mode, but it also COMPLETELY LACKED A MULTIPLAYER MODE OF ANY KIND. So, no co-op and no ...
I buy most of my movies on Blu-ray now. If it isn't available on BD I usually just hold off on buying the movie, unless it is a movie I just have to own now (very, very rare).
I know. I am amazed how many times I can play the demo and not get bored. For a demo this short it has a lot to keep you coming back for more.
This is why I am nearly certain that the full game will have a lot of longevity.
I'm sorry, but you are wrong on one point...the 360 does not have backwards compatibility for "most Xbox games". In fact, not even close. At least half the games in my Xbox library will not play on the 360. Games like Otogi 1 and 2, Deus Ex 2, and Tenchu 3, to name a few. And many of the games that are supported don't really play that well.
MY PS3 on the other hand does have support for most PS2 games. At least it was an option for those who really wanted it.
