All game engines leave their indelible mark on the games that utilize them and the Unreal 3 Engine is no different. I have to admit though, that I am getting a little bit tired of the look of the Unreal 3 Engine. I enjoy seeing new engines, but like some of you have already said, you really can't complain when it comes to a free game.
Mass Effect is my favorite game on the 360, so it goes without saying that I am excited for the sequel.
I just hope they improve the technical performance aspects of the game because the first one had quite a few problems like texture pop-in, screen tearing and framerate slowdown.
I'm not a complete graphics whore or anything, but when it gets that bad it does start to have an impact on my enjoyment of the game.
"First two images" made me think screenshots, but in fact they are merely concept art. Neither of them were surprising in what they showed in any case. Oh well.
It might come to the PS3 or it might not. It all depends on whether Microsoft has worked out a deal with EA or not.
Great game though, and it would be great if more people could get to experience it.
There is no such thing as 'which one is better' in a universal sense, only which one YOU think is better.
I have both consoles and I personally like my PS3 somewhat more than my 360.
Mass Effect is easily one of the best games on the 360 and I can't wait for the sequel. I only hope it runs better this time. The first one was plagued with screen tearing, texture pop-in and slow down. I hope they get that sorted out for the sequel.
I think there are about equal chances of this game remaining exclusive to the 360 and PC as it does to going to the PS3 as well. Who knows? All I know is that it is a good game and the more people that get to play it the better....
Why would that be good news?....oh wait, I get it...you're not a gamer, you're just a fanboy. Nevermind, carry on.
As if one bad review from Gamespot would undo all the rave reviews Killzone 2 has already received.
And who cares how many copies a game sells? If we were to judge quality by the units sold, we would have to say the Wii is the best console of all time and Wii Fit blows basically every other game this generation out of the water. Fortunately, most game...
Unfortunately hate breeds more hate and so it goes on and on and on...
Since when is it a FACT that Splinter Cell Conviction is coming out this year, or that it will even remain exclusive?
I must have missed that fact, despite looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction.
Based on what has been announced and confirmed for this year, I find the PS3's lineup quite superior to the 360's lineup.
I completely agree. Halo Wars is a pretty fun game (based on the demo) and people shouldn't be rubbing low scores in Xbox 360 fan's faces just because many 360 fans do it all the time to PS3 fans.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
Wii Fit must be the bestest game ever...
I bet since Foxgod is so in love with sales numbers, he must play Wii Fit every day.
What this video fundamentally shows is that both versions of the game play and look virtually identical.
I couldn't believe how identical both versions looked in the video at full speed.
The PS3 had slightly richer colors and the 360 version had somewhat better anti-aliasing, but so what? The differences in motion are so minuscule as to be completely meaningless.
Demo was surprisingly fun, but I'm still not feeling this one enough to warrant a purchase yet. Maybe later when the price comes down. For people in love with the Halo universe though, I think it is probably a must-buy.
Yeah, L4D was pretty addictive. Banjo was a decent amount of fun and had a nice old school vibe about it.
That's not always true. I have both consoles and I often download and compare demos for both. Sometimes I also rent or borrow copies of games I own for the other console.
Anyway, there have been games that I thought looked and/or performed better on the PS3.
Burnout Paradise looks and runs slightly better on the PS3.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed has a better framerate and less screen-tearing on the PS3.
Dead Space looked virtually identical on both c...
I agree completely, Kleptic. I own the PS3 version and I have played the 360 version quite a bit and there is virtually no difference between them.
Either one plays perfectly fine and I am sure that will be the case with Modern Warfare 2.
Pretty good score. The demo was fairly accessible and fun, so I may pick this up eventually.
Also notice how much lower Edge's score for Halo Wars was than the majority. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Edge are too harsh and inconsistent (selectively harsh) to be useful.
The demo was pretty good. In the end though, RTS games just aren't my thing. I might pick it up later when the price is lower.
Yeah, it ran poorly on the 360. I would even be happy if they downgraded the graphics in the second one to get it to run smoothly.
