I thought we already knew this was coming out on PSP? Anyway, I am really excited about this game and plan to get it on day one.
Tenchu is one of my favorite series of all time and this one is being made by the developers of the original game, so it should be good.
I can't believe how many good games are coming for the PSP. We're getting Tenchu Shadow Assassins, Motor Storm, Assassin's Creed, Resistance Retribution, and LittleBigPlanet all this year. Amazing!
I agree that the first one was the best, but I have still enjoyed the other games in the franchise.
This one has received better reviews than any of the past few Tenchu games, so it looks like it will be good. It is being developed at Acquire and the same team that created the first game on PS1.
I have been looking forward to this game ever since I heard it was coming to the PSP. I don't have a Wii, but Tenchu is one of my favorite franchises of all time. Luckily I have a PSP and will get to still get to enjoy the game.
Awesome review. I agree with the score given and would give the game the same score. Honestly, it is probably the best online shooter I have ever played.
Oh, and the campaign is awesome fun as well.
In the real world that would be true, but in the games themselves I find the Helghast a lot more intimidating than the Locusts. The Helghast are a lot more intelligent, for one thing.
Absolutely. I agree with all of you. I am the biggest fan of the Yakuza series and I hope so bad that Sega brings this game out in other regions.
Yakuza 3 truly looks better than any of the other games in the series and personally the setting and gameplay in Yakuza is much more interesting to me than GTA4.
Sega, please bring this out in other regions!
Awesome sales. The game and its developers certainly deserve it. It is an amazing game and I am loving it so much.
All I know is that it is a really awesome game. It deserves to sell very well.
You say "three games" like it's a fact. It's not, it's your opinion.
I own both consoles and there are only 5 games that are exclusive to the 360 that I own and would not want to miss out on: Mass Effect, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Tenchu Z, and Fable 2. The rest are all multi-platform games or games that don't interest me.
On the PS3 there are more exclusives that I wouldn't want to live without. I have loved many of the new IPs Sony has introduce...
BS! The textures in Killzone 2 are superior to the textures in any other FPS. COD4, Bad Company, Halo 3, FEAR 2, BIA Hell's Highway, COD5...none of those have textures as good as those in Killzone 2.
And when you get close to textures in Gears 2 you see that many of them are actually very flat and blurry; many of them only look decent at medium ranges. Look at this for an example of what I am talking about:
I own both games and yes Killzone 2 is much more graphically advanced than Gears of War.
For those imperceptive kind of people that just glance at both games and say "oh they both look about the same", well, those people aren't considering what each game actually has going on under the hood.
Gears has no real-time lighting engine, weaker particle effects, much inferior physics and post-processing effects. The only area where you could say that they are com...
For the guy that said that the textures in Gears 2 are better than in Killzone 2, you're wrong.
I've done a pretty extensive comparison between the two games and the textures in Killzone 2 are actually BETTER than in Gears 2. When you get up close to many textures in Gears 2 you see that they are actually fairly lacking in detail, blurry and flat.
Are there some low res textures in Killzone 2? Yes, just as there are in Gears 2, but if you are looking at the tex...
Considering that we saw only a very small improvement in graphics between Gears 1 and Gears 2, and considering Gears 2 is the best looking game on the 360, and considering that Gears 2 is bested graphically by an older PS3 game--Uncharted--I have to remain skeptical about Microsoft's claims of being able to surpass the PS3 in graphics.
In technical terms, Killzone 2 is not just "a little bit better" than Gears 2 like some people naively claim, it is in fact much more gr...
But to be fair, Killzone 2 was not meant to have vibrant colors. And personally, I don't want every game to filled with vibrant colors. I like the gritty, dark atmosphere in Killzone 2.
The environments in Gears 2 for the most part don't really feel real to me. Everything seems to be carved from the same material and the overall presentation feels like a cartoon or a painting. It doesn't have a sense of realism for me. Now, I'm only talking about the graphics here. I think ...
@man_of_the_year
Why are you defending Crissy's ignorant comment? She/he said that the original Killzone was "human waste" when in fact it was a decent game. I guess Halo Wars is on the verge of being human waste as well? That's ridiculous.
Regardless, Killzone 2 is awesome and looks amazing. If MS can truly surpass that level of graphical fidelity then that would be fantastic. But let's just say, I'll believe it when I see it.
That review was ignorant. Talking about hype in your game review...just STFU! We don't care about the petty bitterness you feel because the game was hyped so much and it annoyed you. That should have no bearing on what you thought of the game or how you write your review.
I'm sick of these hack journalists with obvious bias attempting to pass off their views as something credible.
If you allow hype or your own expectations to get in the way of fairly judging the...
I don't agree. The vast majority of reviews were in the 9 range and having played the game myself I can say that the game absolutely deserves those 9s. It's really awesome.
It IS better than Halo 3, in my opinion.
But then again, I thought COD4 and Gears of War were already better than Halo 3.
In my opinion, Killzone 2 tops them all.
