Not true. There are some absolutely huge vistas and open areas in Killzone 2 and the game still runs beautifully.

It's so good though. If Halo 3 got 9s and 10s, Killzone 2 definitely deserves 10s. Halo 3 is a pretty fun and lighthearted game, but I don't know, Killzone 2 (the online portion especially) is a lot better in my opinion. It's deeper and more engaging.
In all the FPS I have ever played it has seemed like the position of the gun was a little too low. Luckily, I quickly forget about it. I think it might partially be because I am just over 6 feet tall and am used to seeing the world from a little bit higher perspective.

Nice review score. Based on the demo I think the scores it has been getting overall are pretty much on the mark (mid to low 8s).
I personally liked Uncharted more than either Gears of War (which are also good games).
I am about three times as excited for Uncharted 2 as I was for Gears 2.
Yeah, the controls did feel really different when I first started playing it, but personally I liked them very quickly.
It's interesting that when I went to play Battle Field Bad Company after playing Killzone 2 a lot, it was the former game's controls that felt all out of whack. It took me a minute to readjust and get my aim back.
Anyway, the controls are quite different from most shooters out there and so it takes some people a little while to get used to the...

I got this game only yesterday and have already sunk about 15 hours into it. This game is detailed to an insane degree. Honestly, some parts are simply jaw-dropping. But you know what the best part is? It has the gameplay to match those amazing graphics.
I'll say it right now, because I am already convinced: this is the most fun I have had with an online shooter ever. Seriously, it's that good.

It's a big game, so of course there is going to be a lot of news for it.
It's not like other types of news is getting pushed out. The stories being reported here are just a reflection of what is happening in gaming at any given moment in time.
I just want Sony and Guerrilla to recoup their development costs and make a good profit (they certainly deserve it), so that they can bring us a sequel eventually. I'm loving Killzone 2 and I know I'll eventually be wanting more. Not that I am thinking about that right now with how amazing the current game is. ;)
That does nothing for those of us that bought the console at an earlier date. Mine has already suffered the RROD twice and I'm now out of the warranty period, so if mine dies again I guess I'm screwed.
Unless they can apply whatever they learned to the consoles when they come in for repair.
Crysis certainly does some things better than Killzone 2, but I would have to say that Killzone 2 somehow looks better to me. The lighting, particle effects, textures, full-screen motion blur, etc, all come together in a very spectacular way in Killzone 2.
Crysis is a more open world game, so that does have to be considered. But then again, there are some very large environments in Killzone 2 and it all looks amazing.
