What is your point, SonyRulz? By your logic we would have to acknowledge the Wii as objectively the best console. Is that what you are claiming? Are you a Wii fanboy? ...didn't think so.
It's really poor reasoning and your position is completely hypocritical and inconsistent.
There are lots of reasons something might sell well. It might be a fad, it might sell well because of past successes of a similar product, etc.
It's completely erroneous to clai...
You're absolutely right. Pirates are thieves and they are doing more damage than they possibly imagine.
How do you know they were sh!ttier games if you haven't played this game?
Just sayin...
But you have to admit that there has been a dearth of GOOD games on the 360 lately (aside from multiplats).
I think the point is that Microsoft needs to produce some good games of their own. Whatever it takes, you know.
I like the 360, but I have to say that there are a lot more games I am looking forward to on the PS3. The only game I know I am buying on the 360 is Mass Effect 2.
I know. I think it would have made more sense to compare it to COD4. For many of us Halo 3 isn't in the same league at this point.
Every time I have seen you comment you seem to always be pushing the 360 and downplaying the PS3, unless I have you mixed up with someone else.
In any case, many of those people who you consider disgusting PS3 fanboys are probably no less fans of the PS3 as you are of the 360. If I am wrong about you, I apologize.
To be honest though, I was mainly talking about iDystopia, who is definitely a 360 fanboy.
Halo is trendy the way the Wii is trendy. The sales don't change my opinion of those things one bit. Halo 3 is a good game, but there are several shooters I like more. Do you think I care that Halo 3 is so popular?
My cousin is one of the top ranked Halo 3 players and I play with him every now and then, but you have to realize that the reason so many people play Halo 3 is that they got hooked on Halo back on Xbox and keep playing it because that is what they are used to and ...
It really isn't fair comparing a game that is as old as Halo 3 to a recent game like Killzone 2. Nevertheless, for me, Killzone 2 is the more enjoyable game on most levels. From the single player to the multiplayer KZ2 is just awesome.
I loved Halo 1 and Halo 2, but by Halo 3 I was starting to get worn out on the similarity of it all. Halo 3, for all intents and purposes, feels pretty much like playing either of the first two games. It is still a good game, but it does tend t...
Aside from HDgamer, I think it's funny that you guys think you aren't fanboys.
Right on, man. I am sick of all the fake gamers who only want to talk about sales as if that should dictate what we should like and enjoy.
I buy a game if I like it, plain and simple. I am going to buy Mass Effect 2 on 360 because I loved the first one and because Bioware have shown me a solid track record of making good games. I am also going to buy Uncharted 2 because Uncharted is one of my favorite games of all time and Naughty Dog also have an outstanding track record. Th...
People that complain about this site being overrun with PS3 fanboys are a little out of touch if you ask me. It's not as one sided as these complainers make it out to be. There might be slightly more PS3 fans on this site, but so what? There are lots of sites on the net where the opposite is true. It's never going to be the case that there are exactly the same amount of fanboys on each side, so get over it.
It just gets old hearing people constantly whine about that.
...
Well, I'm a guy and I like Killzone 2 better, so you might be on to something there...jk
Because he is an ultra 360 fanboy. If it's not on 360 it's not good in his eyes.
Sales, sales, sales ....yippee! Just don't tell them that the 360 is being outsold quite handily by the Wii, they might all commit mass suicide. Shhh!
Mass Effect is my favorite game on the 360 and Mass Effect 2 is going to be amazing. I can't wait.
That might be true, but for the very same reason I wonder how Nintendo will possibly do as well next generation as it has this generation. Are all those casual gamers really going to be wanting to buy a new console in only a few years time? I doubt it.
Depends on the games though. If Sony or Microsoft came out with some really compelling casual games they might be able to gain some of the market share of that demographic.
What I don't want is for MS or Sony's push...
If that stuff about it being more accurate than the Wiimote is true, this might turn out to be something I could enjoy. One of the things I dislike most about the Wiimote is how inaccurate it is. It actually makes many games I have played worse, not better.
However, there is nothing inherent in the concept that says that motion controls have to be crappy, just because the implementation in the Wii is poor.
It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
@Eiffel
There is no contradiction in what you are describing.
If a game is good and is available for both the PC and 360, then of course gamers who own a PS3 and a gaming PC are correct in saying that they can get the game on PC.
On the other hand, if it is a bad game then nobody has to buy it. But it doesn't change the fact that one of the games that might have otherwise been good on the 360 has turned out to be a disappointment.
I see no ...
Well, I am a big fan of stealth/action games like Tenchu, Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell, but I have to admit that I had a pretty strong feeling that this game was going to end up being mediocre.
A lot of times when a 3rd party developer decides to make a game solely for the 360 it is because they don't have the talent or the resources to do a proper multi-platform title, which doesn't bode well for the quality of game that eventually is released. There are exceptions, of co...
Look, it's true that recently I am preferring my PS3 more than my 360, but nevertheless I like both consoles and my preference at any given time isn't written in stone for me, like its seems to be with some people. In other words, if Microsoft started doing a better job and was bringing out more of the kind of games I want to play and Sony's output decreased I would favor my 360 at that moment. It's all about the games, man.
Just look at my post history. There was a time when ...
