What's your point with that Xboxgirl? Even in those screenshots it's obvious to anyone with eyes that Uncharted has a lot more going on graphically than Gears of War 2.
Some people are so easy to impress with some simple normal maps, but where is the lighting in Gears 2? Lighting is extremely important and Gears 2 is far, far below Uncharted in terms of lighting (among other things).

I don't completely agree. It is unfortunate that these kinds of comparisons fuel fanboy wars, but I still feel that they provide a useful service to those of us with mutlitple consoles that want to know what, if any, are the differences between the various versions of a multiplatform game.

I've played both versions of the demo and I can tell you, you're not missing much. The 360 version seems a little bit clearer but it also seems to have slightly more jaggies. The game is basically the same on either console.
I thought the same thing. They say that the 360 version has better anti-aliasing, but if you look at the comparison shots that they provide the edges are clearly more aliased (aka jaggy) in the 360 version than in the PS3 version.
Nevertheless, it wouldn't surprise me if the 360 version has the edge.

The textures in Gears of War do look like that on many objects and characters when you get close to them. It's true, the textures in the first Gears were actually a little better than in the second game. I was surprised to see that when I went back and forth between the two games a couple months ago.

Uncharted beats Gears 2 hands down, it's not even arguable. From lighting, to textures, to character models and post processing effects, Uncharted is more advanced. Period.
Most of those shots you showed of Gears of War aren't even in-game. Which just goes to show that you don't have a clue about how to accurately compare the technical aspects of games.
I own Gears of War 2 and it's true that many textures are poor when you get up close to them. IT's a fact.

Multiplats have to do with developer familiarity with the two platforms, the tools, and in which direction the port is made. Multiplatform games being slightly better on the 360 don't mean that it is more powerful. Why do exclusives look better on the PS3? There are a lot of factors, but your claims are just naive. You obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Fanboys on all sides are equally as bad. The fanboys that claim otherwise are usually some of the biggest fanboys of all.
Some time ago this site was dominated by 360 fanboys, then it swung the other way for awhile. Now it is becoming fairly close to balanced (if you look at the proportion of agrees and disagrees on any fanboy comment).

Cross game chat would be nice if it worked better than it does on LIVE. I practically don't use it because the sound quality is generally poor and cuts out too often. Apart from the fact that the majority of time I am playing a game I am too involved in it to really carry on a conversation with somebody that isn't even playing...

Quite a few of the best selling games are games that I don't particularly enjoy. On the other hand, some of my favorite games of all time are games that sold relatively poorly.
I don't agree. I think the PS3 is doing amazing things right now, but the 360 is not crap (well, except for the build quality).
I like both the 360 and the PS3 and the Wii honestly doesn't interest me that much at this point. Those are my opinions, and they have nothing to do with which one has sold more.
Sales are a curiosity, nothing more.
Obviously, if a game sells so poorly that it will never get a sequel, that is something that would concern gamers. But what most of us are denouncing is the attitude that sales numbers decide how good a game or console is.

Yeah, you have to admit though that many of those are old games that hardly anybody cares about anymore. That is, most of the lead the 360 has is due to games that came out during the first year, when it had no next-gen competitors. How many games from the first year are games anybody cares about any more?

Killzone 2 is an awesome shooter. Even if you don't think it's the best, no sensible person would deny that it is among the best. Just as no sensible person would deny that games like COD4, Halo 3, Gears of War, and Resistance are among the best.
I don't exactly agree with any of you. Counter Strike is still a great game and it is stupid to say that you have to be stuck in the past to want to play it. On the other hand, I personally enjoy Killzone 2 more. Something about Killzone 2 hits the spot perfectly for me. They are both good games, though.
