The hard drive isn't a custom drive at all. It is a standard 2.5" SATA HDD that is the standard for every laptop in the world. Microsoft charges you $100 above market value for their "custom" HDD.
Sadly, that is one of the things that has really let me down about the 360, it has few good exclusives. I bought the console at launch and last night I was looking at my games and realized that I only own 2 360 exclusives after all this time: Gears 2 and Halo 3. The only other exclusive that I plan on getting is Fable 2. I do own Gears of War 1 for the 360, but that game can also be played on the PC.
I have owned the PS3 only about half as long and I already have far more PS3...
Actually the only exclusive on that list is Dead Rising. The rest can be played on the PC or PS3.
Those are some really great games, but honestly the title could have been "The Ten Greatest Multiplatform Games", because that is what the list was basically comprised of. I played a couple of those on the PS3 and a couple on the PC. They should have had Gears 2 and Halo 3 on the list, since those are two of the 360's true exclusives that are actually good.
Australians are great people. I hope they will get to play this game without issues.
God of War is the hardest of the hardcore games. It's unfortunate if that results in some governments trying to censor it.
Killzone 2 is hands down my favorite shooter so far this generation. The fact that you have the audacity to say that it sucks despite the outstanding critical reception it has had shows what a mindless fanboy you are.
I absolutely love this game. Soon after getting it everything just clicked for me and now it is my favorite online shooter. And the wonderful support Guerrilla is giving their game just makes me love it more.
The PS3 has an amazing lineup of upcoming exclusives. Uncharted 2, MAG, Ratchet & Clank Crack in Time, Fat Princess, Demon's Souls, Agent, God of War 3 and The Last Guardian add up to one of the best lineups ever.
After owning a 360 for more than 3 and a half years there are only two 360 exclusives I own on the 360: Halo 3 and Gears 2. Everything else is multiplatform. I first bought Mass Effect for the 360, but it had lots of technical issues so I bought it for the PC and it gave me a much better experience. The only other 360 exclusive that I am interested in that I haven't got around to buying is Fable 2. The 360 truly needs more exclusives.
How would Mass Effect make MGS4 feel archaic? I own both games and they are both super amazing games, but I think MGS4 is the better game overall.
How can you really compare them directly though? One is an RPG and one is a stealth action game. The stories told in each game were both fantastic in their own ways.
From a technical perspective MGS4 was much more polished than Mass Effect. The later game was plagued with screen tearing, texture pop-in and slow down....
While I think there is a very good chance that Mass Effect will come to the PS3, I don't think that is what this is. It will be interesting to find out.
This sounds good. I'm not sure how the new weapons will work out, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. I'm sure I will love the new maps though. The last map pack was awesome.
Killzone 2 is my favorite online shooter this gen and I am happy that Guerrilla are giving the game so much support.
The first Uncharted to this day is only equaled or bested by one game: Killzone 2. Mass Effect and Splinter Cell Double Agent weren't even close in the graphics department. And while their sequels have certainly seen some improvements, Uncharted 2 looks to be an even bigger jump over its predecessor and is again going to stand head and shoulders above ME2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
Uncharted 2 looks better than any upcoming game I have seen. But the graphics are just the...
I guess that is just a function of the fact that there seems to be a whole lot of 360 fanboys in every article these days spouting a lot of nonsense. I do like both consoles, but I have never hidden the fact that I like the PS3 more. For someone like me that ownes a PC, PS3 and 360 the 360 exclusive lineup seems kind of weak. Microsoft need to bring more true exclusives to the 360 platform. That, and the hardware reliability issue are their two biggest weaknesses.
Anyway, it ...
Didn't you know, cmrbe, it hurts 360 fanboys' feelings if you mention the PC. They'd rather just pretend that it doesn't exist.
Everybody's nasim...
Give me a break.
Oh come on guys, Splinter Cell Conviction will be a great game, but cranium is right, Uncharted 2 wipes the floor with Splinter Cell in the graphics department. Most of the main sites gave Uncharted 2 best graphics/technical achievement of E3.
The 360 release was pretty good, but it definitely had some issues. The new characters, new weapons and online co-op definitely make NG Sigma 2 the definitive version. I'm trading in my 360 version to get Sigma 2.
Yep, and capitalism also means that the buyers have a choice of what to buy. I haven't upgraded my 20GB HDD on my 360 because I refuse to pay those kinds of exorbitant prices. Sony should be rewarded for their more consumer-friendly approach.
