No way, Chrome is the best browser in my opinion. Opera and Firefox are also really good and for people that love to use a lot of extensions and add-ons Firefox can't be beat, but I think that most people would find that Chrome's speed and streamlined functionality make it better than the other offerings.
I absolutely love the Google Chrome browser so I have high hopes for the Google Chrome operating system. I think it will certainly put a sizable dent in Microsoft's control of the operating system market.
Bioware have always been primarily a PC developer to me, but it is nice to see them sharing the love with the consoles. Mass Effect had some technical issues on the 360 but that didn't stop it from being an enjoyable game. I am really hoping they will make a Jade Empire 2 for PC/360/PS3. That would be amazing.
Surely. Uncharted 2 is one of the biggest games of the year. It was also the overall winner of best game at E3.
Yep, Uncharted 2 is definitely seeing some major improvements, from gameplay to graphics, and every place in between.
I know what you mean, mastiffchild, about them kow towing to the COD4 fans and it is really just too bad. I agree with you that the controls were better before, although I still like the way they feel now more than a lot of shooters.
I personally love Killzone 2. Then again I am good at it. People tend not to like games they aren't good at. Some people also had a problem with the controls but I was among those that loved the controls right from the beginning. Now it's other games that I think have poor controls. Killzone 2's controls are fluid, accurate and weighty; a lot of other shooters now feel floaty and jerky to me.
Anyway, yeah, I love Killzone 2 and play it all the time. One of the best games to...
Uncharted is among the top three games this generation, in my opinion. It was such an amazingly fresh and fun experience, it took me totally by surprise and gripped me from beginning to end. Uncharted 2 is the game I am looking forward to most and it is so tempting to watch all the available videos, but I think I will resist and save as much of the game as possible for when I finally play it. But, maybe just a peek...
Yeah, it's a real shame they canceled Firefly, it's better than 95% of the stuff on tv nowadays.
Anyway, Alan Wake is looking really good so I think it has a good shot at being successful. I just hope they don't delay the PC version too long since that is the platform I would prefer to play it on.
Lair is actually a fun game. If you pick it up now without huge expectations you will find that it is surprisingly good. It definitely has some issues, but overall it is a well made and enjoyable game.
My top 10 PS3 games would go a little something like this:
1. Uncharted
2. MGS4
3. Killzone 2
4. Infamous
5. Flower
6. LittleBigPlanet
7. Demon's Souls
8. Heavenly Sword
9. Pixel Junk Eden
10.Warhawk
I liked Far Cry 2 on PC, but I haven't played it on the consoles. I also loved Assassin's Creed even though it had some flaws (thus the avatar). Fallout 3 is ok. I don't know, but it kind of felt a little "off" somehow. Bethesda's games always have this sort of empty, lifeless feeling to me that is hard to shake. Still a good game, but not my favorite.
From what I heard, Microsoft is publishing the game, but Remedy maintains ownership of the franchise.
Well, I own a 360 so I obviously don't mind giving money to Microsoft. I was merely pointing out a fact. I like the power and flexibility of the PC platform. I like the fact that the games are usually cheaper and the online is free. I like how I can tweak settings and choose which technical areas I want to emphasize according to my tastes and the capabilities of my set up.
On the other hand, I know that some people don't necessarily like or care about those things, so for the...
I re-buy all my favorite movies on Blu-ray, but I don't upgrade the lesser favorites. I do buy the Blu-ray versions of any movies I want that I don't own yet.
Some people might want a stripped down simple game console, but others of us love the fact that we were able to buy one device that does so many things. You can't please everyone.
It should be pointed out, also, that none of the current consoles are only game machines. Every single one of them includes features and capabilities outside of gaming. The PS3 just happens to be the most full-featured.
I bought my launch 360 for $399.99 and that is now the going price...
I know it has problems, but I still find it to be a decent game. I understand why some people are upset, I just don't take it that far.
Yeah, we've been waiting for this game for forever. It looks great though, so I think it will be worth it.
A PC with the right hardware will always be able to produce better graphics and performance than what you get on a 360.
I know, Chrome is a slick browser. I absolutely love it.
