So when we see articles reporting Xbox 360 successes I guess we should take them to mean exactly the opposite, right?

By your logic, that is.

The PS3 is selling at a faster rate. It came out a year later than the Xbox 360 in North America and about a year and half later in Europe, and it will probably be out for at least a year longer (probably much more). So, if nothing changes and the PS3 continues to sell at a faster rate, it will have sold more units by the end of its lifetime than the 360.

The race is really an illusion in many ways. The two consoles didn't start at the same time so they really aren't in the ki...

Whether the PS3 or 360 end up selling more by the end of this generation doesn't mean much to me. I don't think it will have any real impact on my gaming experience whether the PS3 sells a few million more than the 360, or a few million less.

Quit being so uptight. It depends on how you conceptualize it-- as a singular entity or as a group of people. It is quite common to use the plural when talking about a company. Do a google search and you will see that both ways are common.

Well, first there are the fees that they have to pay to Microsoft for each disc. The other reason is that the open world design of the game wouldn't have worked being split onto 3 discs. Here is what Carmack said about it:

"We would love to set the thing up where it filled one Blu-ray disc versus three DVDs, which is about the right mix, but the game just... we can't cut it into a third like that"..."We can cut it into two pieces. We've got two large wastelands ...

Yeah, but it's a good kind of hard, in my opinion. It doesn't feel cheap, it just feels like you are an ordinary human warrior that has to fight right, or die. As you go along you get better and you are able to overcome the game's challenges. But yes, it is quite hard.

I am so glad that more people are going to get to play this amazing game.

With all the mountains of porn available on the internet, they have the audacity to censor a video of a videogame character ripping another videogame character's head off? It's absurd. If parents aren't monitoring what their children access on the internet, something like this should be the least of their worries.

Censorship of any media, whether it be books, movies, paintings, sculptures or video games, is wrong.

If you aren't free to decide to see what you choose, to that degree you aren't really free.

This kind of abuse of power should be opposed.

Games like this are one of the reasons I love PC gaming. You can't play this game on any other platform. I have long dreamed of a MMORPG that had an in depth story and Bioware are making it happen. I can't wait for this game.

The next generation of processors might not even revolve around traditional CPU architectures and instead might be highly programmable GPUs more or less.

Anyway, even affordable graphics cards can give you performance above and beyond what you can get on the consoles. The myth that you need some expensive gaming rig to run modern games is just that, a myth. It's easy to build a gaming PC for around $400 or $500 dollars that will outperform the consoles on multiplatform titles. ...

God, I hope Killzone will never be Halo.

That's just the thing, Halo 3 isn't more fun to me. I own both games and I play Killzone 2 a lot more than Halo 3.

Please don't state your opinions as facts. It might not have lived up to the hype for you, but it sure did to me.

It doesn't need to be slim, I think it is an elegant looking machine the way it is now. However, if redesigning it and making it smaller can save on production costs it would be a beneficial thing to do. I am sure it will be done at some point, just as we saw happen with the PS1 and PS2.

And both consoles are loosing to the Wii. Go figure.

Microsoft is facing increasing competition on all sides, which in my opinion is a good thing.

The review doesn't match my opinion. Killzone 2 is my favorite shooter thus far this generation.

How would FPS games be better on the 360? The 360 and PS3 are just consoles. I play shooters on the 360 and I play shooters on the PS3 and the experience is no different, other than the differences between the games themselves.

6178d ago 13 agree4 disagreeView comment

Yes it does. It is my favorite shooter right now.

I'll be watching this. Should be interesting.

I have owned a 360 since launch and I can honestly say that I have only used cross game chat a couple of times. I don't know how people can play an intense online game and chat at the same time. Just the other day I was talking to my friend on the phone while I was playing Killzone 2 and he kept saying "uh...hello...are you there" and I would say "oh sorry, I'm having a hard time talking and playing at the same time". It might be a useful feature for some, but I find it...
