Well, the launch lineups of almost all consoles tend to be rather poor. Neither the PS3 or the 360 had particularly good launch lineups. That said, Resistance was a far better game than Perfect Dark Zero and I had some fun with Fight Night Round 3, Call of Duty 3 and Genji as well. The only notable game at the 360's launch, for my tastes, was COD2. Depending on your tastes, you may feel differently, but my point is that all consoles tend to have few games to play in their early days.

Yeah it is kind of strange. It seems like they have some ax to grind lately.

The only game for the 360 I am getting is Halo 3 ODST. The rest of the games either don't interest me or are games I will play on the PC.

The PS3 has several games that I am looking forward to later this year, but the biggest one by far is Uncharted 2. Demon's Souls is also fantastic.

@ Sack_Boi

There is no "year of the PS3". If you like what the PS3 is offering it is always the year of the PS3. If you hate the PS3 it will never be the year of the PS3.

Since being released, the PS3 has sold at a faster rate than the 360. This is an indisputable fact.

This is one of the things I find so funny about the way a lot of 360 fanatics act. Let's say that nothing changes and the PS3 always stays 7 or 8 million behind the 360 due to the head start the 360 had, does anybody think this is really going to matter when the 360 has sold 57 million and the PS3 has sold 50 million? Or if the 360 sells 87 million and the PS3 sells 80 million? ...

Most of those PS3 games were never given release dates for 2009, so how can they be delayed?

The PS3 still has a fall lineup at least equal to the 360's fall lineup and has already had a better first half of the year, so the PS3 is looking pretty good right now.

It doesn't matter though. The PS3 is getting my most wanted game--Uncharted 2--so, for me, it wins by default. If I had to pick between getting only Uncharted 2 or 5 of the next best games on either conso...

I'm a loyal Browncoat to the end and even though I already planned on getting Halo 3 ODST, the fact that several of the cast from Firefly are doing voice work for the game makes it an absolute must-buy for me.

Actually, the only game I really liked in the first year of the 360 was Gears of War. In the first year of the PS3 we got Uncharted (which happens to be my favorite game this generation) as well as several other really strong titles like Heavenly Sword. Moreover, people are still playing Resistance to this day in decent numbers. Can the same be said about Perfect Dark Zero? Yuck, PDZ was a big let-down.

Get real. You act like Crackdown invented those kinds of games. Earlier games like Grand Theft Auto and, hell, even Spider Man did mostly the same things long before Crackdown.

I had more fun with the Uncharted 2 beta than the Halo 3 beta. Infamous is a better game and gave access to a better beta.

I like Killzone 2 more than Halo 3. And Uncharted and MGS4 are better than anything on the 360 side.

Microsoft have almost always delayed the PC versions of games they publish. They did it with Halo, Halo 2 and Fable. It's not really anything new, but it does suck.

It goes to show you that Microsoft realize the PC is a viable platform that does compete with the 360. If it were true what the 360 fanboys say about the PC and 360 both being Microsoft platforms and that games that come out for both platforms are still "exclusive" to the 360 then Microsoft wouldn't tre...

I own a PS3 and a 360 and while the 360 does have its positives I do have a preference for the PS3. So, if I could only own one it would have to be the PS3.

The main factors that lead me to prefer the PS3 are:

Reliability
Unmatched first and second party output
Free online service
Outstanding media features like Blu-ray, web browser, etc.
Built-in Wi-Fi, HDMI (my 360 lacks this) and Bluetooth
Oh, and did I mention reliability?

BS. Look around on many sites around the web, there are lots of PC gamers that are upset about this. Read this: http://www.actiontrip.com/r... and this: http://www.bluesnews.com/cg... and this:
The good thing is, you are only going to see this on Microsoft published games. Other "exclusive" 360/PC games will still be available on both platforms.

No, he wouldn't be right. It would be called an opinion.

In my opinion, Killzone 2 is the best shooter this generation.

Gears 1 is better than Gears 2 anyway. Especially the online portion.

I own a 360 and it is definitely worth owning if you have the money and don't mind dealing with the reliability issues. But I'll be honest, the best combination to have is a PS3 and a PC.

I recently noticed that the only exclusives in my 360 library are Gears of War 2 and Halo 3. Aside from Fable 2, which I plan to get, everything else that interests me can be played on the PS3 or the PC.

The advantage to playing multiplatform games on the PC is that they are usua...

That's too bad, I was really looking forward to playing Bioshock 2 and possibly Red Dead Redemption this holiday. But if the games were not ready then it is the right thing to delay them. There are already so many good games coming out later this year, so in a way I am glad.
