Correct, which is why there is also a family oriented bundle that includes LittleBigPlanet and Wall-E on Blu-ray. Both are great bundles in my opinion.
If a person can't afford this bundle, then they really can't afford to be gaming on next gen consoles at all. Think about it, if you buy a new console you are going to have to buy some games for it. Buy a Wii or a 360 and a couple of games and that already puts you into around the same price as this bundle.
You're right, this is the best deal this gen. You are getting two highly acclaimed games and the most feature packed console on the market for less than the price of an iPhone. If I didn't already have one I would snatch this up in a heartbeat.
If Gran Turismo 5 comes out this year, Sony will have a huge holiday. I can't wait to get my hands on GT5.
It's coming for the PS3 as well. I don't know whether I will get it for the PC or the PS3. I normally get a lot of my multiplatform games for the PC, but in this case the PC version costs more, so I'll probably go with the PS3 version. The game looks absolutely fantastic.
People played Ninja Gaiden 2 for the gore? Get real.
You 360 fans are really ridiculous. It's obvious Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma is the definitive version. But go on pretending that the reason people play Ninja Gaiden is for the gore, LOL.
Well, wouldn't you expect a console with twice the installed base to have higher game sales? Mind blowing, I know.
Why are they singling out one game? The 360 has around double the installed base in North America and many games sell well over 50% as much on the PS3, which is the percentage you would expect them to sell based on the installed base of the two consoles. With an installed base half that of the 360 you would expect multiplatform games on the PS3 to sell half of what they sell on the 360. Nevertheless, we often see multiplatform games sell well more than half as much on the PS3.

The funny thing is, for all the harping about the PS3 version of Ghostbusters sucking, it really doesn't. I recently downloaded the PS3 demo of Ghostbusters, expecting it to be awful, but I found it to play and look perfectly fine. I played it and I enjoyed it. I later played the 360 version and comparing them one after the other I could see that the PS3 version was not quite as good as the 360 version, but it wasn't nearly as big of a difference as I was led to believe.

My 360 is only for a couple of exclusives. If it weren't for Gears 2, Halo 3 and Tenchu Z I wouldn't even own a 360.
In my area and among my friends a lot of people have switched over to the PS3. I still have friends that mostly game on the 360, but I have lots of friends to play with on the PS3. My time is split between the PS3, the PC and the 360 --with most of my time being spent on the first two platforms.
Truth be told I buy most of my multiplatform games for the PC. However, with multiplatform games that don't come to the PC, or with certain types of games that I want to play with my c...
You want to know what the difference is, commodore64? The difference is, the 360 currently has a smaller lead over the PS3 than it had when the PS3 launched. On the other hand, the PS2 gained a much, much larger lead over the Xbox than it had when the Xbox launched.
This means that the PS2s success over the Xbox was not simply due to being launched earlier, while the 360s lead is entirely because it launched earlier.
Why is this so hard for some of you to understand? You guys see some kind of contradiction where there isn't any. The 360 is in fact the more expensive console when you factor in all of the hidden costs, but to many consumers all they see is the initial price tag. This has the effect of making the 360 appear to be the cheaper console, thus helping sell more units.
There is no contradiction. When people talk about the 360 being more expensive, they are talking about the overal...
Tuglu_patti, I'm the exact opposite of you. I bought a 360 at launch and later got a PS3. After playing online with both services I noticed that PSN does everything I really need and is free, while Xbox LIVE costs me nearly the price of a new game each year and is not worth it to me. Ever since I got back into PC gaming, my 360 mostly just sits there.
7 million isn't such a big obstacle. Think about it this way, the PS3 had closed the gap to only 5 million and in the relatively short amount of time since the 360 received a price cut it has managed to widen that gap to 7 or 8 million. That price cut was only last fall (if I remember correctly), which means that things can change relatively quickly with the right forces at work. It is completely possible for the PS3 to close that gap.
socomnick, you're more ignorant than I thought if you really believe that the PS3 might not reach 40 million. Please cultivate some common sense. The PS3 has averaged sales of approximately 10 million units a year so far, and that was at a higher price point. Simply maintaining that sales rate would have the PS3 reaching 40 million in about a year and a half from now (four years from launch). That doesn't even take into consideration the increased sales rate that would likely occur once t...
@ Sarcasm
So true.
The PS3 had closed the gap to around 5 million until Microsoft did a price cut for the 360. Since then the gap has widened again to around 7 or 8 million. Keep in mind that at the time of the PS3's launch the 360 had around a 10 million lead due to being on the market for a year with no next gen competition. Now, what do you think will happen if the PS3 gets a price cut?
That's too bad. I am playing through Dead Space right now (by the same developer) and it is a really good game. Dante's Inferno doesn't look quite as interesting to me from what I have seen so far, but I definitely had my eye on it. I tend to buy a lot of multiplatform games for my PC, but if I get this game I guess I will have to get it for my PS3 or 360.
