Wanted and Bionic Commando both looked better on the PS3 according to Eurogamer. Who cares though? The difference most of the time is minor and not worth paying a second thought towards.
The PC version of Splinter Cell Conviction has not been canceled. It will come out at the same time as the 360 version.
Third party exclusives are never a sure thing these days, but I have a feeling that this game won't be coming to the PS3 right away. It will come out for the PC and 360 and then sometime later they will announce that they are bringing it to the PS3.
Every Splinter Cell game has been available on a Playstation platform and it would be kind of sad if Conviction was the first game to break that tradition, but at the same time I think Microsoft will do what they can to at least hold...
I'm like you, I used to pay for LIVE, but I just can't justify the cost anymore. The 360 is a good console, aside from the crappy reliability, but I don't like the online model Microsoft uses.
I'm pre-ordering from Amazon for the cheaper price and no shipping and handling fees.
I don't mind if it is on the consoles too, but it is nice to see the PC getting first dibs on this.
It's the same game, with ADDED content and improved graphics.
Get Demon's SOuls. You will not be disappointed.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 looks really good. I think the co-op modes alone will make it a must buy for many people, not to mention all the other extra content and improved graphics.
Not much competition in this category, is there.
The parent company is American. The console itself doesn't have to actually be manufactured in America. As Dread alluded to, the Wii and PS3 are "Japanese consoles" whether they are manufactured in Japan or not.
That sucks. It's not just getting delayed on the 360 but also the PC, which is the version I was planning on getting.
This also means that the first half of 2010 is going to be even more packed with good games and I won't be able to afford even a fraction of all of the games I want at that time. C'est la vie.
It's essentially had those features for a long time. I access Facebook all the time from my PS3's browser. I don't use twitter, but you can do that too.
MW2 is also coming for the PS3. I actually prefer the Dualshock 3 for shooters (or most games for that matter); the analogue sticks have less dead space, are slightly more accurate and have just the right tension. The 360's controller does have better triggers though, but other than that I slightly prefer the PS3's controller. Both controllers work perfectly fine and anybody that tells you one is much better than the other is probably a fanboy.
That was sarcasm, guys. He was poking fun at Turn 10 for their constant chanting about Forza 3 being "the definitive racing game of this generation".
I agree with you guys. I don't mind if a game takes inspiration from another game or borrows certain elements, but Dante's Inferno has crossed the line in becoming a complete rip-off. Anybody who has played through the God of War games can instantly see that Dante's Inferno has copied virtually everything.
Even the setting really isn't all that unique. Both games have you fighting through nightmarish landscapes and fiendish enemies. One might be set in a mythical ancient Gree...
Actually the PS3 isn't even into its 3rd year yet. It is only 2 years and 8 months old in North America and only 2 years 4 months old in Europe. If you average it out, the PS3 has only been around for about 2 and a half years. That means that we are only about a quarter of the way into its projected 10 year lifespan.
@whitto
I am sure you are correct as far as your setup is concerned, but I know for a fact that my PS3 browser is a lot quicker than my laptop running Chrome or Firefox. This has always amazed me. My friend was asking about the PS3's browser and I told him that it is missing a lot of features that make surfing on a computer more functional, but that it makes up for it with its speed and ease of use. I can definitely start my PS3 and be on my favorite websites A LOT quicker tha...
I don't mind when a game gets inspiration from another game, or borrows elements from another game, but this is just a blatant rip-off. I am seriously disappointed. I loved Dead Space and I had my eye on this game, but I thought it was only taking a few elements from God of War and would offer more unique elements of its own. I am still dumbfounded at how systematically this game has ripped off God of War.
That said, I think it is going to be a very good rip-off. It's just th...
I think it is funny the way some fanboys try to equate the few problems the PS2 had with the RROD and other problems that have afflicted the 360. The DRE issue was nowhere near to being on the same level as the 360's RROD and E74 issues, and everybody knows it. The original Xbox also had some problems with disc read errors.
My PS2 was bought in October of 2001 and still works to this day.
And that measly 3% is with the 360 having a 7 or 8 million lead.
