I'm a big fan of the PS3 and it is my favorite console, but this isn't fair. You can't use a few anecdotal reports to claim that there is still a widespread problem with the newer 360 chipsets. I've heard far fewer reports since the new chipsets have come out and all the people I know who have purchased one have not had any problems yet.

Based on the screenshots they look nearly identical. I do see what you guys are saying about the PS3 version looking a little softer, but I don't mind that. I am just happy that the developer was able to do such a good job making them as close as possible.
Mass Effect is my favorite game on the Xbox 360 and I thought it looked great. There were a few issues but it didn't ruin the game in any way. It sounds like Mass Effect 2 is going to look amazing. I can't wait.

One of the reasons I have always loved the Playstation platforms is because of Final Fantasy. So even if the game did get a downgrade I would still be waiting for it with enormous anticipation. Nothing is going to stop me from getting this game. I do agree though that the new screen grabs look really good.

I've played both versions and nothing really jumped out at me as being too different between the two.
Mass Effect looks better than Uncharted? No way. Look, I love Mass Effect, but that game was nowhere near the level of Uncharted. Textures, lighting, animation and technical performance were all better in Uncharted.
Moreover, Uncharted 2 won "best graphics" at E3 from all the big game sites, not Mass Effect 2.
Quit being such a fanboy. Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are clearly more graphically advanced than Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2.

Who cares how long the controllers have been around? I am looking at the controllers as they are now and I like the PS3's controller better.
The offset analogue sticks does nothing for me, it makes no difference at all. I play on both consoles and I have never seen any advantage to the offset sticks. Either position works the same once you adjust to it.
The big difference is that the DualShock3's analogue sticks are more precise and have less dead space.

I'm getting it on the PC. It's not that it is the end of the world to play it with lower resolution and graphics, but given the choice I prefer to play games like this on the PC.
Ok, so it turns out to all be a false alarm. Uncharted 2 WILL HAVE NO MANDATORY INSTALLATION.
The install doesn't bother me. Being able to play through the game without seeing a loading screen is much more important to me. I loved how there were no loading screens in the first one and you could play straight through it seamlessly.
