I can't believe I never thought about it before, and I haven't ever read it being mentioned, but the absolute Holy Grail of reasoning for XBox advocates for purchasing a 360 is the availability of published games.

Well here's the thing:

Yesterday, my brother-in-low blessed me with a belated birthday gift with God of War 2. Merely by coincidence, I dropped into Best Buy yesterday and picked up the first God of War for a cool CN$20.

These are both h...

Namely the never-ending mortgage payments for XBox Live.

Albeit, XBox Live is currently more advanced than the PSN network, but it looks like Sony's is catching up really, really fast.

To say that Sony won't begin to also charge when that does happen, is up for debate. But as it stands, I like my free online, thank you very much.

primarily because the article fails to address the critical intrinsic (or intangible) values of each systems. For example, what is the proper basis for comparison? Should it be the number of games? In that case, and all else being equal, and at this very second, the 360 would win hands-down. But that could very well change in a year or two from now.

What about all-around integration? Shouldn't the PS3 receive brownie points for having a nice, streamlines all-in-one system,...

...Already???

Sheesh, and I thought I was doing well with my measly four Wii games. Kinda feel like a bit of an amateur now.

Nineteen...Now THAT'S a hardcore gamer.

the rate pertains to the ratio of total games sold, to total systems sold.

Here's the link for the aforementioned story:

I'm guessing this takes the new March 23rd launch into account, thereby lowering the average number? Sounds like too much of a drop for it to have such an effect though.

Anywho, my personal rate went up to five earlier last week (gotta love birthdays!), and will further climb to six this coming Thursda...

...Says the President of McDonald's.

Besides, doesn't that mean that he agrees that the PS3 is relatively future-proof?

Thank you Mr. Microsoft!!! Your positive words have encouraged me to run out and pick up a second PS3!!!

the consistent onslaught of unsubstantiated criticism doesn't even phase me. The PS3 has shown to be an entertaining, and vastly intricate and sophisticated system thus far...and incredibly rock-solid to boot (I turned off the unit only an hour ago this morning, following a five-day long, non-stop marathon of Folding@Home number-crunching, video-gaming, moving-playing, and picture-viewing, without the slightest flicker of problems or issues.)

It's incredibly ironic, because, a...

EB Games Canada's current promotion with the very same game, God of War 2.

Upon the release date (March 13th), I headed over to my local store to pick up a copy of the game as a birthday gift for my cousin. The clerk informed me that they were running a promotion a throughout the entire month of March, which allows someone to purchase the game, play it to their heart's content, and then return it by no later than March 31st for an in-store credit in the full initial purchase a...

I intentionally started dl'ing 2 movie previews...quickly started DVD.

Throughout entire movie, no activity from wi-fi light. upon stopping movie, wi-fi light resumed and dl completed eventually.

Will try again...would love to be wrong.

BTW: Sorry for "I Am Sam"-like message...typing on PSP...would give left testi for REAL keyboard right now!!!

background downloading DOESN'T appear to work when operating a DVD (haven't tried Blu-Ray, but I assume it's the same result), nor does it appear to work while Folding@home is active.

It DOES work while viewing images.

Haven't tried while playing music, a BR/hard drive-based game, and can't recall whether it works while playing video from the HDD.

but rest assurred that there was no offence taken...I promise you that the last thing I care to attract is sympathty, as I don't want to turn this thread into a morbid sob-fest. I think deathtok hit the nail right on the head in his first paragraph: It's was just not the right place.

Given the typically overall-negative nature of this site, your aforementioned initial comment could trigger nothing less than an automatic reactive backlash for what appeared to be the usual dose ...

It actually answered a ton of questions I had lingering.

One other question: How did they manage to zoom into, and rotate the molecule? I haven't really fooled around with the application that much, but I thought the screen was limited to the world map and a smaller embedded image of the molecule at the right-hand side.

Fold baby, fold!!!

Oh, it's YOU!

Actually, I got a chuckle from your old avatar everytime I saw it.

Don't know why they keep taking your bubbles...I actually find your comments refreshingly and harmlessly amusing...ok, maybe a little hyperactive...but innocently harmless and amusing nonetheless.

Oh well, if it's any concellation, you got a bubble at least from me not too long ago for helping me out in earlier post. ;)

I forgot about the good ol' PC...matter of fact I also have Chaos Theory for it; I just picked it up a few months ago for $20 because I always wanted to get into Splinter Cell. Unfortunately, my PC's puny graphics card has a stroke every time I try to run it (I have a widescreen monitor of which it's native resolution is 1680x1050, so if I try to run it at a lower resolution, my only options are 4:3 perspective resolutions (i.e., 800x600), and the distorted image drives me absolutely nuts to...

Ahh, that's the next one I've been anxiously waiting for. I guess I know how my EB Games gift certificate is going to end up this week.

Does any XBoxer here already have Splinter Cell? If so, do you recommend it? My cousin claims it's all the rage, but I'd like some more opinions before I take the plunge.

When did Zelda Twilight Princess get ported to the PS3 and 360???

o_-

On a serious note, they look damn-near identical to me, with the exception of a slightly greener tint on the 360, while it appears as if the PS3 version had the contrast cranked up a few notches.

One thing is certain: both the PS3 and 360 versions look considerably sharper and more detailed than the Wii version.

but in all honesty, I've been considering starting one up of my own, for no reason other than wanting to name the group after my currently-ill grandfather.

However, I haven't yet looked into the details of creating/naming teams. Can we name the teams anything we like, and can it be alpha-numeric, or is it limited to numbers such as your team's name?

Yeah, this folding thing has come at such a specific and respective time in my life, that the idea of contributi...

...for your own good, otherwise you'll get so hooked, you may wind up flipping burgers for a living as a result (or filling glasses with draft beer at some pub, considering your location!) ;)

On the bright side, you'll have a heck of a lot of amazing titles to choose from by then (decisions, decisions!)

Yeah, as far as the bubbles go, I figured it was only a matter of time before the minions punished me for mentioning the letters "PS3" more often than...
