Subtract the titles for handhelds and virtual console titles, the kiddie theme-park games, and that impressive eighty count trickles down to only a handful of mentionable Wii titles.

Oh well. I can always surf the net and check the temperature in Tahiti, I guess.

primarily because the graphs were completely disproportionate to the sales figures.

For example, numerically, the 360 had significantly less than fifty percent of the sum of all three console sales. Yet, the graph portrayed respective 360 sales as hovering above around seventy to eighty percent of total sales for the longest time. So there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that SOMETHING was inaccurate about that site, bogus or not.

I noticed today that they uh...

when I bought my PSP last March...and both are absolutely stellar.

But if I have to suggest any one title above any other PSP game out there, it would have to be Syphon Filter. In my opinion, just amazing. I've currently got Metal Gear: PO stuffed into the little machine right now (same genre), and although it's a decent and enjoyable game, it just pales in comparison to Syphon Filter.

At $20, it's a steal.

Reading the headline compelled me to squint my eyes and rub 'em for a re-read.

Question: How does 3DRealms manage to stay in existence when the bulk of their operations consist of nothing more than continuously issuing empty promises year after year???

I've got a major pet peeve with Nintendo's Wii points.

Not long after getting the console in late november, I went ahead and purchased some points online, for a couple of virtual console games I wanted to download.

We here in Ontario are subject to an accumulated sales tax of 14% for all retail purchases. However, since Nintendo charges us in US funds, the added 14% sales tax is ALSO calculated in US funds. This means that in reality, we're subject to a 16%+ ef...

is that it may be TOO real.

You've got to be a really hardcore fan of F1 (and a very patient one at that) to get full use out of this title.

That said, it's always good to have a fairly polished niche products available such as this one.

It's actually fairly capable when you need to access the internet in a pinch, thanks to the pointable on-screen keyboard. I find it also comes in quite handy when you want to browse or search for something alongside others. It's always easier to sit on the cozy couch and read (and zoom in!) off of a 53" projection TV, than it is to huddle around a computer.

Just don't expect to access any PDF files or be able to play most online media clips.

As far as Miya...

Although this game is ultimately destined for multiple platforms, this particular preview appears to pertain specifically to the PC version.

but from what I recall, optical output is more much limited than HDMI, in terms of bandwidth with respect to the volume of information each is able to carry.

Furthermore, HDMI 1.3 is required to run TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio; version 1.2's architecture simply does not support it. I think 1.3 also has much broader video capabilities than its predecessor (up to 48-bit colour depth vs. HDMI 1.2's 24-bit.)

I'm also quite sure that your current 7.1 digital surro...

Someone out there has got lotsa, lotsa, free time.

I've got to agree with Nix on this one: as as "Loco-Roco-cutsie" as the music sounds, the slideshow is quite subjective and holds no or little merit as news or fact.

(Now time for me to run as far from this thread as possible, to avoid getting injured or killed by the inevitable shrapnel and ricochets.)

on television (G4?) a few months ago, particularly in response to the immense negative media backlash the game has received.

He was insisting that his intention wasn't to encourage or validate the the killers' actions, but instead to actually demonstrate why what they did was wrong. He added that this would be made apparent to anyone who actually played the game.

I personally haven't played it (not my kind of thing, to be honest), but the creator did come across...

I wasn't able to find a reference for it when reading the article...I now noticed a spot where it briefly mentions it.

Sorry about that, and thanks.

We're on the identical wavelength, buddy...even down to the same number and titles of games, I think.

Scary.

all the while the other mediums of entertainment continue to play-out as they please scott-free.

An endless list of movies come to mind which are just as bad, or even shadier than what this game portrays. Even television gets a free ride in comparison: In this season of one of my favourite TV shows, 24, they blew up a nuke on American soil...during prime time for all ages to see. And I can't count how many times I've seen someone on the Sopranos (another gem) get brutally bea...

Quite honestly, your mindless lashing doesn't even deserve a response. Add that to the fact that SmokeyMcBearc was kind and helpful enough to say it all - and then some - on my behalf (much appreciated, Smokey).

However, for nothing more than the sake of self-amusement, allow me elaborate by saying that my aforementioned post was directed precisely at the comments coming from two posts previous to it. Unless I made a mathematical miscalculation, the figures and statements in ...

You're absolutely correct...which is why statistics can be (and are often) entirely misleading if taken at face value...as is the case here: the total sales of 360 are relatively miniscule in comparison to those for PS3.

To put it another way, let's be hypothetical and assume that last week, in week 1 the 360 and PS3 each sold one unit and twenty units respectively.

Let's then suppose that the 360 sold a total of two units this week, in week 2, while the PS3 sold...
