Totally unrelated, but I'm just curious:
What's a "BAKA YARO"?...It sounds like what the Portuguese call salted cod fish.
I only know that because we Eye-ties use the somewhat similar term "baccala" for salted cod fish...oh, and also when referring to someone as an ignorant dum-dum, which is what I assume you're attempting to convey with the gentleman you were replying to.
Good point, though.
You've actually reminded me how the dynamic driver (turning the steering wheel; bobbing of the head, etc.) in GTHD makes the replay look that much more impressive and realistic.
Completely forgot about that.
which comes across as really cool and fun during the first five minutes of gameplay, but exponentially loses steam immediately thereafter as a result of repitition and mindless gameplay.
However, a ray of hope is that hard-to-please Gamespot doesn't seem to think so:
"After our hands-on time with Pain, we don't feel like its basic concept (and the almost limitless and potentially comical outcomes that can result from it) will get old anytime soon..."
On the surface, both look quite nice.
However, in a side-by-side comparison, the environment, textures, and lighting in GT look much more livelier, fuller and richer to me; Forza's textures - especially the road and greenage - look flat and two dimensional.
I also see a bit of overkill in the specular highlighting levels in Forza. At times, the cars come across as plastic.
In Forza's defense, there DO have multiple cars on the road, whereas GT has...
Hasn't Nvidia been having MAJOR driver performance problems with getting their 8xxx cards to play nicely with DX10?
...or did they finally resolve that issue?
YES!!!..., that's the one, thank you!!!
I don't know where I got my assumption that it had a similar naming convention...but yeah, that's another one of those shallow - yet fun - "jump in and play" titles.
I wouldn't mind seeing a next-gen version of that one.
I reckon that good times have (finally) only begun for the little PSP...thankfully in part to the complementary PS3.
It'll cost you significantly less than it would have a few months ago, should you really be yearning to repurchase one.
Then again, you may wish to wait to hear more about the rumored PSP2.
But yeah, I too would miss mine if I didn't have it any longer.
is that pretty much every brand new, in-demand title fall drastically in price rather quickly, thereby negating the desire (or need) to purchase used.
For example, it was no less than a month ago where I saw Metal Gear P.O. and Test Drive unlimited for a paltry CN$30.
The strange thing about PSP titles (much more so than other gaming systems) is that prices of individual titles fluctuate ever so drastically from retailer to retailer: If a particular retailer carr...
This game is sooo mine!
Looking (gasping) at the footage, it's an amazing feat to think that this is a PSP game.
Although, that small bleep of "game loading" stalling DURING the gameplay has me slightly concerned. A dose of those kinds of freeze-ups while in the middle of action can get tiring real fast.
My antsy fingers remain crossed!
It's SO hurting for more demos.
But that's always been SR's style: Turn it on, drive, and win the race.
Nothing more.
(as I said earlier: Brain-dead fun.)
If you're into details and customization, then this game is probably not for you. To be honest, I don't think it qualifies as a "buy" for me either...though it looks like a fun rental for a good few days.
has always been simple, brain-dead fun wrapped in a beautiful-looking package...and this appears to be no different.
However, the Sega racing game I've always liked more than Rally is the one that you race around a real race track with those stock car-like cars...the naming convention is along the same lines as Rally, but it escapes me. Anyone remember what it's called?
The other one I used to get a kick out of was VR Racer...wasn't that sega as well?
but the screenshots look pretty decent to me (with the exception of the third, which portrays some harsh lines.)
Take into consideration everything that's shown in the screenshots - the fire, the lighting, textures, etc. - and imagine it in action.
Besides, reading CVG's comments, I think that they're saying that the game actually looks "pretty good"; so good, that the respective screenshots don't do the game justice.
They've got my six...
are a match made in heaven. Though I shiver to imagine what the foreplay would be like. Kinda puts a whole new meaning to rough sex.
Yeah, just imagine being hooked up with this chick: not a very swift idea to show up from work in the wee hours of the night with lipstick on your collar.
was on my PSP early last year (the first Fireteam Bravo).
It was a lot of fun...especially being able to command your naive teammate (read: b*tch) into a potentially hazardous location...thereby making him absorb lead on your behalf. Ah, chain of command can be SO rewarding sometimes!
If you're into war/military games, you'd likely very much enjoy this title.
every time I see LBP in motion. The flow of animations, lighting and textures aren't like anything I've ever seen, short of a rendered CGI film.
(Deep: How in the world DO you find all this stuff??? Bah!...must be fake. I betcha you make all material up, don't you?) ;)
We've been seeing more new titles than Paris Hilton has felony charges.
That's a lot.
Sony's really pushing PSN downloadable content, eh? If the prices are right, and the goods are decent, then that's absolutely fine by me.
Where did THIS come from???
Well, any game that involves a primate spanking itself gets my "Must Buy" seal of approval!
That's the word that comes to mind when gazing at these so-smooth, detailed, and beautiful graphics.
Maybe that's the name they should have given this to THIS game instead.
Amazed, convinced, and eagerly waiting!
