I was really, really THINKING about turning it on last night?

My wife was on the central PC doing some school work, so I WAS going to use it to surf N4G...

...but then IT called to me.

And before I knew it, I was playing Calling all cars followed by MKII...again. You see, part of the problem with folding@home, is that the machine is alreadly conveniently on and ready to roar. When I see that green light (as opposed to standby-red, it becomes a li...

But didn't it just get released (or is about to) in Europe?

****GAME SPOILER****
BTW: Has anyone here finished this game? I'm stuck at the silo part, where I've got to rescue the captured Snake. I'm supposed to interrogate everyone, but those Bison-From-Street-Figher-Like dudes keep slipping out of my grip! HELP!!!

Personally, I can't say enough good things about the PSP...it just amazes me how they somehow managed to pack so much technology into such a tiny thing. I've litterally stared at it and pondered it.

My only gripe is Sony's oft-imprecise, parapalegic, clitoris-like-dot, analog control design.

But given all the push and positive news as of late, you may want to stick with it for a while, as I strongly anticipate a hefty dose of non-game-related goodness coming too...

They're marketing a newly-d3veloped, state-of-the-art product at a loss. I think Sony would be the last one to expect otherwise.

Besides, isn't MS' gaming division in the same boat, but only with a more grimly-expected outcome? Here's one recently-posted article:

The aforementioned article states MS' quarterly sales/loss ratio at a STAGGERIN...

What is it that you don't like about "the Little Console That Could?"

Strangely, the logic never dawned on me till now.

I mean, they've already got PSP-compatible (PSOne), as well as tons of PS3 demos...wouldn't it be natural to include them as well?

On the other hand, how come there aren't more PSP demos, period?

is probably the most accurate word.

I can't help but speculate that this title accurately emulates an LSD-induced trip...only harmless, benign and inexpensive.

Just watching it in action instantly makes make me glazed-eyed and catatonic.

"Ooooh, the colours, maaaahhn!!!!"

"I think UT is kind of not comparable though, because UT and UC games run at insane paces, different from most FPSe."

Maybe you hit the proverbial nail on the head, because I always got a kick out of UT's insane pace, while I was just never able to get interested in Starsiege: Tribes (which my now-brother-in-law virtually lived, ate, and breathed, at the time.)

If I get the chance, I'll give Halo a try, just out of curiosity.

Thanks.

An honest question: Can anyone please tell me why Halo 3 is so hyped in comparison to UT'07???

I've never played it, but seeing videos of the newly-released Beta version on TV earlier tonight, I can't help but be reminded of no more than a graphically glorified version of that game from ten years ago, Starsiege Tribes.

On the other hand, the UT footage is just so rich and mind-blowing in comparison; Halo comes across to me as, well...empty.

Honest...

the old adage that the porn industry single-handedly led to the untimely demise of the superior Beta format.

But if there IS any truth to it, dare we venture then, that this announcement dictates Blu-Ray as the winner of the format war?

1080p, eh? Wow, dems a lot of pixels for showcasing flesh. Would the "p" still stand for "progressive", or something else? ;P

“our entire scope of services that we’ll be developing and releasing in the coming months ahead.”

...ah, the words I've been waiting for!!!

Given the rapid rate Sony's been moving ahead with their online/firmware updates, I'm pretty confident that the aforementioned will actually materialise...and soon.

Everyone together now:

"VOD!...VOD!...VOD!... VOD!...VOD!..."

other than the assumption that Sony is flooding or forcing the product onto the consumer.

First and foremost, the key fact shall forever remain that Blu-Ray is represented by Sony; if Sony doesn't push the medium, then who will? I'm sure they've got deep scars, regrets, and "If Only We Did"'s from their many previous format failures.

In addition, the introduction of any Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD, DVD, 8-Track, VHS, or any other format for that matter) product...

With regards to my response to this news story (as the legendary Homer Simpson would passionately chant):

That WAS pretty bad...my head hurts now.

Although it does compliment the quality of the game quite nicely, IMO. It's one of those titles that get you to say, "hey, this is pretty cool!"

Then, after that initial adrenaline-rich minute-and-a-half expires, you're wondering what demon compelled you to buy this game in the first place.

I'm going to go take an Advil now...still hearing that Alfalfa-impersonating vocal scratching away in my hea...

was also the first thing that popped into my head upon initial glance.

However, I cannot recall any reference to dragons in Greek mythology.

In addition, there are numerous phrases in French; if true to the theme, this doesn't quite fit with GoW, as Greek mythology comes across as quite heavily ethnocentric.

Could the French be a reference to Ubisoft?...though I think the line at the footer of the note is in German...or perhaps what they want us to b...
