"...you're welcome to destroy my bubbles anyone who disagrees with me, as I no longer need them."

Why not, Deep?

Lemme guess: You finally acquired a PS3 and will therefore be too busy playing with your shiny new unit for you to be posting on this website.

Right, right?

"Why does everyone forget that the 360 had shortages for months and months where as there has been abundant supplies of ps3?"

Perhaps it's the same reason why everyone forgets that the 360 had zero (next-gen) competition.

The PS3 is doing absolutely fine, especially considering that it's required to compete against not only the already-established 360, but the overlooked current red-hot fad that is the Nintendo Wii.

That said, in addition...

No I didn't.

Yes, it does...but only for games.

1080x upconversion for DVD's requires HDMI (unfortunately.)

"...I almost always lived in very sunny places..."

OK, OK, no need to brag about it.

In all seriousness, I cannot emphasize how much I detest and despise winter, no less the cold. Just gimme sun and sweat any and every day, baby!

...which may actually support your point; I live in Toronto, Canada. The inside running joke here is that we have only two seasons:

Winter and Construction.

Now it all makes sense....

"...Since BR movies downscale to 1080i and are playable through component I dont see why this wont be the same..."

Man, how I hope you're right. I just came back to this thread to specifically find that out.

About an hour ago, I was watching The Feed on AOTS, and my heart sank upon hearing that this new feature would only be made available for televisions with HDMI inputs.

I've got a fantastic Hitachi 53" HDTV projection (only 1080i...

I'm a sucker for colour just as well (which is specifically why I'm just itching for Ratchet and Clank)...there indeed is a generally noticably gray/desaturated overtone throughout Resistance.

But as you'll likely eventually learn (if you don't already know) when watching the unlocked bonus videos upon completing the game, Insomniac deliberately aimed for a morbid overtone, to help add to the story's sense of dread and futility.

Personally, it works quite well. ...

Deep, buddy...

Thought I'd take a quick scan over the latest news before stepping out today...but I've gotta say that this news announcement will suffice for my daily fix.

You made my day, amico!

Hmmph...aren't we well passed April 1st?

Oh well, my fingers remain nonetheless crossed.

(But please hurry, 3DR, 'cause they're really starting to cramp from being so contorted throughout these many, many years.)

EDIT: Well, at least it appears that at least the game's infamous piglet-like villans have been keeping well busy throughout the years by pumping iron along with a pinch or two of muscle juice. Hmm...Maybe we should get THEM to finish t...

I'm always up for a solid adventure game starring a character with an edge. A bit of a minestrone consisting of Jack Burton, Jack Bauer, and Indiana Jones. How can one not be excited?

Graphics, lighting and textures (note water and foliage): simply gorgeous.

One thing they keep repeatedly promoting about this game, is the detail in facial expressions. Maybe I haven't yet seen adequate footage, but I've yet to see a moment where the character(s) is (are) close ...

and have it consist of nothing more than an all-out blast of a race amongst stock exotics (with police chases, of course), across beautifully diverse sceneries.

Personally, I'm just not into this ridiculous tuner/shady nighttime street racing scene...which is why I've had my eye on picking up Test Drive Unlimited as of late. It's pretty much the only option I've got these days...unless I want to compromise and reinstall NFS:HP2 or NFS:PU - if I can dig it up out of my basement...

"...the xbox ain't the PLAYSTATION!!.."

Boy, oh boy, you can sure say that again!

...Which is specifically why I bought a PS3 instead...and how satisfying it is!

Keep bringing it on Sony. So far so good.

is a brute understatment.

Now that the critics have run out of ammunition for bashing the PS3 for not having enough titles, I declare that we keep the negativity and controversey rolling...just to give them at least some form of purpose in life.

How about we all start bashing Sony for releasing more good news than we are able to keep up with?

(How inconsiderate of them!!!)

Nothing at all wrong with that.

Different strokes for different folks, right?

Mine just happen to include all the juicy goodness that the PS3 has to offer...including Blu-Ray movies.

"...only a moron would buy a system because of future releases..."

XxZxX almost took the words right outta my mouth:

Then what would you call someone who would buy a system because of HD Blu-Ray movies, a decent lineup of current games, AND future releases?

upon the realization that the four precious letters "NTSC" have been omitted from the article.

Uh, there WILL be VOD in North America, right?

(Right???)

@eques judicii:

I'm referring specifically to PS3; We've already got VOD alternatives here in Canada. But I enjoy and would like to rely on the fact that the PS3 is able to centralize all of my multimedia needs so well.

So "VOD for PS3 in NTSC, I plea!...
