You're smart for doing so.

But, history has shown that the effort and buzz "usually" (there are many exceptions) coincide with the quality of the product.

Call all this optimism a gut feeling.

No fan has yet spent a penny or much effort on this product; so why should one feel like an (to apply your diplomatic term) "idiot" for being excited about something?

So let's assume we're all idiots or, as another fellow Ra...

It's called competition, and is completely natural - and arguably essential - for large, competitive companies who are fighting for the same market, to operate in such a manner.

It's absolutely no different than Walmart opening up beside a less dominant retailer, a television network broadcasting a much-anticipated program to coincide with a competitor's airing or a popular show, or...

It shouldn't be too difficult disable the 'web browser' feature when a game is running.

Similar to "this feature is not available" popping up when trying to run a PS3 game or Folding@home during Remote-Play.

what these two are supposed to be?:

- Addition of topics (bottom of screen and saver of screen)
- Possibility of opening several sessions of cat

(what the Hell's a "saver of screen"???...It's got "confused of me.")

Also, it would be really, really nice if they would add the simple and primitive ability to make sub-folders/categories so that I don't have to trounce through a single, huge list of 587,000 MPS's just to get t...

Let's hope they don't stop at Pokemon, which I uh, don't think I'll be playing any time soon.

1,600 is a rather large sample base. It should be more than enough to deem results representative of the masses, and to acquire an accurate standard deviation.

Whether it was a truly random sample, or representative of the population, is another story.

was a really, really super-shy and quiet guy named David M.

This guy's quiet, insecure, and harmless nature made him out to be a bully magnet.

Well, the irony of the story is that he used to play hockey ever since he was just out of diapers. Judging by his physique in the gym change room, he had the physical ability to shred us all into itty-bitty pieces.

The Bubbles?...long story. But heroism's an excellent segue for it. Let's just say that the...

August appears to be when all that long-awaited, glorious PS3 gaming madness finally begins!

Ah, just in time for my annual fall vegging, Hermit-Mode!

to feel this guy's pain about a day out shopping with your woman as she looks for clothes (the hives, and involuntary spasms & twitches are starting up again just as those torturous moments return to mind.)

Rule of thumb: If you ever go out shopping with your girlfriend/wife for clothes, make absolutely SURE that the facility has an EB Games/Best Buy/Future Shop/Game Department within walking distance!

As soon as I hear "blah, blah blah...just for two S...

Hey, so did I!...I never could sit by watching the quiet, innocent guy get bullied or picked on.

Granted that the author has already grimly decided the fate of the PS3 (that it should be limited to a Blu-Ray player/multimedia center), he also fails to recognize Sony's biggest and most significant potential market:

The many, many consumers who are holding back on purchasing a PS3 until the inevitable release of blockbuster titles.

What's that famous quote from that movie?...Oh yeah:

"If you release it, they will come."

Nah, I just always wanted to get my hands on anything 'video game'.

Ironically, although I'm a hardcore gadget guy, I could never, ever get into the cell phone scene...although I can't live without my PDA, which is loaded to the nines with games and applications.

Go figure.

That's all fine & dandy...if you don't mind dedicating your internet access to downloading a thirty gig HD movie of Blu-Ray/HD-DVD quality for ten days straight.

Your IP may even send you a Christmas card to thank you for your excellent application of massive bandwidth.

Sarcasm aside, I'm all up for digital downloads...but that's not comparing apples to apples. Don't forget that the intention of hard HD media is to bring you the most optimal sound/image/feat...

Oh, man...I remember how badly I wanted one of those <ahem> high-tech wristwatch video game...would just stare at them through the store display window for hours. Sadly, no one wanted to give me the twenty bucks to buy it. :(

Hey, I don't see a mention of those awesome Bally's/Midway mini-arcade machines: I remember them so vividly: There was Pacman (yellow), Donkey Kong (Blue), Ms. Pacman (baby blue), and Galaga (Green?).

My wife took a chance, and, on a whim, picked up Pursuit Force for me from a used game store some time last year...and man was it ever a fun, fun title! A little frustratingly hard at times, but it kept me hooked for quite some time.

The graphics, music, non-stop action, production quality: All top-notch.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it: It reminds me a lot of that late 80's(?) video game, 'Chase H.Q.', where you a pair of cops trying to chase down ...
