That price doesn't sound bad at all.
Of course, I'd like to first see what the update offers.
Uh...any chance that it'll help getting my ass pwned any less???
Stevie Wonder aims better than I do. :(
(God, I'm sooo hurting for a keyboard & mouse.)
You've definitely earned your bubble for your effort, my friend.
Can someone elaborate the benefit of this added codec?
I've been long using Video9 to convert my Divx/Xvid AVI's (although I shouldn't need to...aarrrgh!!!) to H.264 (AVC 480p 1024kbs Stereo/128kbs.)
What's the practical application for this new one?
Only this morning I read that it was due to be out in a few days.
My, how time flies. ;)
I'm off to see
My PS3!
I know exactly where BubblesDAVERAGE is coming from; it's been nothing but PS3 bashing (G4 in general) since launch.
However, I noticed a dramatic change in tune as of late. As a matter of fact, even during tonight's prime-time airing of X-Play, Adam and Morgan were answering some video viewer mail, in which a viewer questioned whether it would be more feasible to pick up a new Apple iPhone or PS3.
To my surprise, they were quite openly optimistic about the PS3,...
Gee, that was a really short thrill ride.
upon reading that headline.
Don't do that to me!!!!
I hope they at least upgrade multiplayer to 56k. I mean, 14.4 was fine back in the day, but I'm sure the enhanced graphics will require something a little faster.
(Hmmm...now WHERE did I put my custom taunts sound file???)

I forgot all about that one...wasn't that when manipulating the pinball machine in the bar/saloon?

Unfortunately, it doesn't fare too well on this website.
It's like asking Forrest Gump to explain the Theory of Relativity. ;)
"Japanese giant is confident that its newest console will match the 115 million units sold by the Playstation 2"
Confident indeed.
Not to say that the PS3 won't be successful...quite the opposite actually.
The thing is that the PS2 has done IMMENSELY well; surely better than any imaginable initial expectations.
But, if the kinks are indeed worked out of PS3's production, perhaps good ol' economies of scale may allow a signi...
Because there are many PS3 owners who can directly benefit from this news.
On a personal level, I've been just itching for Blockbuster Canada to expand Blu-Ray availability.
Thanks to this submission, I'm finally gonna be watching a Blu-Ray rental, come this Friday night.
Personal thanks to drtysouf21.
Because that trailer looked hot diggety!
one of the newly-listed store closest to me.
According to the clerk, he claims that they currently carry about fifty of BOTH Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
@PanixATK & SILV3R
Search the U.K. site carefully, because even with the Blockbuster Canada website, it's not at all easy to find; you've gotta dig deep through the "Promos & Events" section.
Here's the link to the page (check waaaaay at the bottom, near the right side.)

Why is Blockbuster Canada always so late to follow suit???
UPDATE:
I just checked Blockbuster.ca's website, and noticed that they at least FINALLY added fifty new stores to the HD mix (a 200% increase):

Still a far cry from the U.S.'s 1,700, though. :(
Their undeniable enthusiasm now has me even more interested in checking out this game.
Though I'm likely in the minority, I really enjoyed it (though the graphics make you feel like you're staring at mosaic tile, once your eyes get a glimpse of the PS3/360 versions.)
It was fun to actually be able to naturally aim, as opposed to wrestling with the customary gamepad analog stick.
As a matter of fact I enjoyed it so much, yesterday at Future Shop I actually had Resident Evil 4 in my hand ($40 - cheap!), and was about to bring to the checkout counter....
Is exactly what hyped me to pick up a Wii.
Man, I was SO pumped up about this game.
And then the reviews came out...which thankfully saved me fifty bucks. Hopefully, the developers have learned a lesson and will release a better product this time around.

When Far Cry Wii was released, it was the exact same story all over again. :(

On the contrary,
I vividly recall the 360 being promoted at a number of big box stores, at a significantly lower price than usual during the launch of the PS3, because I remember thinking how many non-tech-savvy parents were going to automatically opt for the 360 for their kids' Xmas gift specifically because the price drop was so enticing.

OK, I'll take your advice to heart. A rating of 7.5 sound pretty decent to me.
What do you think is a fair price to pay for this title?
(just in case I come across it at a discounted price, as I did with Far Cry)
BTW: Bubbles for your advice...though I could swear I already bubbled you up earlier on. :)
