Seriously...
I was glad to hear that MS decided to jump on board with free game downloads following the success Sony has been having with it, but jeeeeez... It's sad when one of the most recent titles they offered was a Game of the Year contender from 2009 and has since had 4 successors (AC2).
A game from 2006? Really? Lord have mercy, this game came out before the PS3 even launched... (Or at least within the same week)
Sixty more days until I get my hands on a PS4....
I really enjoy my Vita and, despite it's lackluster sales, it feels to me as if the library is growing into some pretty awesome on-the-go games.
As a gamer, the only reason I would care if my platform sells more than the competitor is because that ensures me that developers will surely flock to it. That was the Vita's biggest problem and, luckily, its letting up a little. I hope it continues and if it doesn't, Sony is going to have to come up with a lot more origi...
I can't help but laugh at this comment.
On topic, great news! I wish I preordered mine on Amazon, but I'm still excited to see the commotion outside during the midnight launch.
I couldn't help but notice with one of the other gameplay videos that the game (at least the Xbox 360 version, this video is the only one I've seen on PS3) has quite a bit of pop-up and texture issues. It coincidentally reminds me of San Andreas on PS2, which had the same problem.
I hope this gets addressed by journalists in their reviews instead of hearing 5 minutes of praise. I want the issues to be highlighted as well, because it does interfere with gameplay at som...
For realz, even the bad news turns out to be not-so-bad rumors. lol
On topic, I've always wanted to record gameplay with the help of a capture device this gen but it was always a hassle. I'm glad these next gen consoles do that built in - especially the PS4 with 15 minutes or recording! I can see a lot of multiplayer matches being uploaded to YouTube next year. hahaha
I would say that I agree with you more than I disagree. I think their PR would have had a much easier time building hype and explaining policies if they launched at least a year after the PS4.
It's the same thing I said when I found out the PS3 was launching in 2006. It didn't feel ready, and the blabbering PR disaster they had along with it only highlighted that fact.
In both cases, they would have had plenty of catching up to do in terms of sales, b...
Agreed. I'm just glad it was addressed in a timely manner instead of ignoring the topic until it got out of hand.
I know I would be upset if my language wasn't supported. Good news for millions of people, even as minor as it seemed to some!
Just over 2 months for the PS4 guys here in the states, or 2 months and one week for the XBO guys. No doubt it's gonna be a phenomenal holiday season! I'm just about ready to get my hands on the Quad, I feel like we're in the home stretch. Counting down from 60 days haha
Oh boy. I don't think I prepared enough popcorn for another debate.
I'm glad this is the case. Hopefully they keep stock steady so we won't have another PS2 fiasco.
"I really have nothing more to add to what I already stated"
lol. You have nothing more to add because that's your last bubble.
But in all seriousness, I get where you're getting your analysis from. It makes sense on paper. The 360 was popular in the US, therefore the One will be too. Not hard to understand. But if that's all it takes to become a popular successor, why did the PS3 do so much worse in the US when compared to the PS2?
I think the unfortunate truth is that Microsoft (like Sony in 2006, oddly enough) had put the breaks on any momentum that they had moving forward with the XBO.
Early adopters are the starting gates of a new generation and they're the ones telling everyone else where the best place to play is. MS gave those kinds of gamers plenty to talk about this summer and beyond, which obviously isn't a good thing and whether or not you believe that the scandal will affect first ye...
Of course he is, he's a Bostonian, afterall!
;D
"but the Japanese can always import a ps4"
If they can find one :O
I've called every store within a 20 mile radius of my house and not a single one has a PS4 available for preorder, which is a shame because my step-father just told us he wants a PS4 for Christmas. Hopefully they're available by then.
Are you okay?
If there was ever a game that could hold people back from preordering a console just yet, this would be it.
I still have money down for a PS4, but I'm praying that GTA V will be playable on the system through GaiKai in the very near future. Praying....
"Move over, brand new racing IP that has yet to prove itself against a franchise 5 games in"
What kind of headline is that? And why would it have to move over? They're on two different consoles and barely anyone is even talking about either of them.
I for one, am not interested in Drive Club at all. I would have liked a new MotorStorm than that.
I can see it doing okay when it's out for 360, PC and XBO, and doing better when it comes out for PS4 and probably PS3, but - in terms of sales - it's not going to crush COD.
... Funny how the gaming media skews things. When it's negative news about the details of the XBO, we're just a minority amongst a small group of dedicated gamers. But when it's hype about a game talked about by a group of journalists within dedicated gaming events, the masses are sur...
Heavenly Sword 2 would be nice. I'd love a Warhawk 2, though. Starhawk was fun but not a solid sequel, more like a spiritual successor.
They have all 14 of their internal studios working on stuff for the PS4. I'm sure they haven't forgotten that they reign supreme when it comes to exclusive offerings!
