They seemed pretty interested in the Oculus Rift VR technology, so I most definitely see them testing the waters with the PS4. If it turns out to be practical enough, they might even build the PlayStation 5 around the whole tech.

I've never been so excited for the month of November! Two console launches, a major feasting day and major shopping day all in one month???

I love the holiday season! I'm still working on getting everything for my PS4 paid off...

Horrible photo, honest mistake. Just a small blunder, nothing too newsworthy really. Still kinda funny, tho haha

That's cute. You just described exactly what PS3 fanboys were doing back in the early days of this generation.

Don't be too surprised about it, kid. They're just returning the favor for those that did the same to them. It's better they do it now than when the XBO is actually out and doing its own thing, don't you think? Up until then, it's just pre-game trash talk.

Just what I was thinking. Apparently this is the kind of "bad news" Sony has to deal with. They're pretty lucky considering this will be taken care of with a simple update down the line.

Nintendo has to deal with the masses saying Wii U is doomed to low sales figures and you got everyone trashing just about every aspect of the XBO. I'd say this is about the best "bad news" a company can get.

The numbers announced after launch day are going to be pretty massive, I can tell you that much.

Sony's announcement of over 1 million preorders might not seem spectacular to some considering consoles typically make upwards of 50 million easy, but it's actually more substantial than some might think.

This is going to be an extremely successful console. Believe that. #1.1.1

@Monday

"I'm OK with English, but supporting Arabic would have opened the market for millions more."

To be fair, it's not like they're missing a shot at a market they had with the PS3, considering they didn't support it there. I'm sure they'll toss it in with a future update if enough people complain.

To be honest, Knack has not been in my radar since it was first announced. It simply didn't interest me at the start, and it was hard for me to give it space to prove itself against the many other PS4 launch titles I'm excited for and trying to pay off.

With that said, I have been doing my research on the game lately and the single biggest note for me was the many references to Crash Bandicoot (for obvious reasons). I never noticed any resemblances at first, but they ...

Same. I enjoyed video chatting with my PS Eye on PS3 but it was a product I bought at my own discretion after my PSN friends suggested I get one. I'm relieved that its optional because, if I buy it, the only thing I care about is if it works properly, not by how much it can do.

I've had voice recognition for many years now, most recently in my smartphones but I find it useless. Don't care how technically complex it is or how quickly it works... like motion control...

I always wanted to know if the dualshock 4 was better than the dualshock 4!

.... hahaha

Anyways, November 15th needs to get started already!!!!!

Now that the hardware was developed with a mindset that allows for all developers to easily take advantage and make great looking and polished titles, I think that us gamers will be able to see it, as well.

The PS3 was like discovering Bigfoot. We're pretty sure it's a powerful beast, but you can only find out if you're one of the lucky few to go out and find him.

A PS4 is more like a lion (or the most powerful known beast that exists today?). We ...

Good news for devs with great ideas looking to put pen to paper on some of their ideas fast. I'm glad Sony went down the path that leads to us gamers getting more fun games at a much more consistent pace. All decisions they've made looks to ultimately lead to "more games."

Fine with me!

lol. Xbox Two.

"Hey man, are you buying the Xbox Two?"

"You mean the Xbox 360?"

"No man, that's their second console. I'm talking about their fourth console, the Two."

".... What?"

"Well, you know how their third console was the One?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, so the successor to the One is the fourth Xbox, which i...

This article is about as insightful and well-written as my 3rd grade book report.

But, judging by the headline alone, maybe that's what this author was going for..... ?

Other than the "week earlier than PS4" rumor that is now debunked, this would be the only other logical week to launch their console. It's not like they can launch on the same night as the PS4 without going head-to-head with that console's hype.

They also can't be released on the 29th.... Black Friday.

If they plan to release on a Friday, it would have to be the 22nd. Jeez.... I'm just now starting to see why launching the 360 as ear...

It's kind of obvious at this point. You aren't aiming to compete with Activision if you're developing a game meant for only Xbox platforms.

The PS4 seems to have a much better grip on the gaming audience right now so it would be dumb to do that. Hell, I even bet they regret that deal and wished they could've done it with Sony instead. With Sony fanboys on its back, the hype for that game would have gone right along with the console.

That's very interesting.

The reversals didn't seem to do much at all for them. But, then again, who - apart from us enthusiasts - know much about the reversals?

It's kinda hard to tell. And, on another note, the fact that Knack is preselling that well in the US is telling me something. It's preselling almost as much as Madden on XBO and preselling much better than Destiny on XBO as well.

4540d ago 63 agree2 disagreeView comment

I would say that it probably has something to do with the fact that the XBO is heavy on the TV side of things and so maybe the FCC is double-checking the guidelines that go into it but that can't be it.

Oh well. They should probably get on that.
