It's a Nihilistic Software game..
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they learned much from Burning Skies. 4VS4?? How can you have such a powerful device at your disposal and still manage to make matches so frustratingly small? The game looks terrible..
Thanks to GG for saving the day with Killzone: Mercenary on the Vita. That looks much better. After reading the details on COD, it sounds like Burning Skies with a Call of Duty skin. Not. Impressed.
The "Cross Buy" program that Sony announced is probably the smartest thing I've seen them do lately.
By this alone, I'm looking forward to finding more games that support it so I can get two games for the price of one. I PRAY that MLB 13 The Show is under Cross Buy cuz I was thinking about just buying the Vita version since I didn't wanna buy both (bought MLB 12 on PS3, not Vita).
That makes me a pretty happy customer.
When it comes to games, there aren't many big surprises, but they've announced the PS3 Slim and a few price drops at Gamescom, so I wouldn't rule much out.
Gamescom is actually becoming a bigger event than it was in the past, so really anything's possible.
I seriously contemplated selling my Vita a few weeks ago. Then I realized two things:
1. It hasn't even reached it's first holiday season yet (which seems to be the major downside for releasing hardware early in the year - excitement dissipates easily).
2. I figured I'd throw down some money for my second (physical copy) Vita game through Amazon and - as I looked through the selections - I realized I couldn't make a choice. There were actually...
I always thought this was a Vita game, as well? A portable cart racer with online play would be good on that platform.
Jeez.. Kotaku's been jumping the gun lately..
It's funny how I couldn't care less about MW3, Black Ops II or any recent Call of Duty on consoles as of late, but a portable version of the franchise has me all giddy inside. haha
I can see EA probably holding back on the Vita right now (maybe due to it's current install base), just to see how COD fares on the Vita, before they jump onto the portable powerhouse. To be fair, it makes sense from a financial standpoint. If Call of Duty can't break the ice here i...
The difference between MS and Sony in terms of family games is this:
MS: Yes, we are still about the hardcore! Look, we have *enter sequel to established franchise* and a ton of Kinect games - aka the Nintendo Effect.
PlayStation gamers noticed a lack in blockbuster titles this year, being spoiled enough to be able to enjoy something like that every year, hence Yoshida's respone a couple of days ago:
Sony: Yes, we're still about the h...
Guys, I was just joking. lol, I really wouldn't care if they gave them away or not. But I will say that - on one side - it would be unfair for those who tried harder than I did. On the other hand, those who just recently discovered these older games would be screwed out of their chance from the get-go.
It's for these reasons that I'm against online trophies that are necessary for Platinums. I think a Platinum should be awarded to those who actually take the time t...
Unfortunately, I doubt that will be happening. Calling All Cars had it's servers terminated years ago and I don't think anything changed, unless they discounted the game as a result. Can't really remember.
Can they at least give us the online trophies for the PS3 games they cancel? Some of them are simply impossible or take longer than their server's lifespan to even attempt at this point. haha
Warhawk, Bad Company 1, Resistance 2 and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift are a few examples of very hard online trophies. I've been trying for years!
Unfortunately it took way too much space on my 160GB HDD (I never sold any games I bought this generation, so most game installs are still there) and had to delete it to make room for some game downloads.
My trial with this game was great, though! It's a really fun and addicting game.
I feel like the sales of about 1,000 PS2 units has been the usual for that console for a couple of years now. Crazy how that thing barely declined in at least the past two years.
"..the mobile title apes the series' logo and makes no mention of being an unofficial title."
They're f*cked.
*sigh*
EA's released MoH games on the PSP, so I hope they keep the portable support going!
Yeah, seriously, why the sudden backlash against Metacritic? Kinda random.
Knowing Sony's usual shpeal on why they don't release things that are clearly possible on their platform, they would probably say that they're not gonna release an update for Remote Play that lets you do this until they can assure that they release it as a "quality feature"... or something like that.
I think they're still working on enhancing the Vita's ability to do this just a little bit more before we get an update that'll let you do this ...
Yeah, Activision's owned publishing rights to the series since 2008, but I could still definitely see him being in this game (after all, Big Daddy is in this thing).
Personally, I'm not very interested in this game right now, but I do like the fact that so many characters could potentially be in it in the future.
The search function is terrible! It's part of the reason why I would prefer using a smartphone to control it. Makes it easier somehow and you can view comments, which I don't think is possible on the PS3 app.
Still needs a bit more work, but not a bad start!
