They did the same last year for what I can only assume was a plot to keep the internet focused on the games they announce so that no one snoops around to reveal their real secrets of E3 last year like the actual name of the "NGP" (which was leaked, anyway) and the price point.
It really makes you wonder what they're making room for this year....
I would pee my pants if they announce GTA Vita. (side note: GTA V...ita? hahaha)
That and Call of Duty together is an absolute system-seller to me. The rest of the titles this year are just extra icing on the cake.
Speaking of which, it would be cool if a Fruity Loops (FL Studio) app gets released for the Vita. I love making music on that platform and it would be cool to use the capabilities of the Vita to make music!
I'm excited to try the demo out for myself and make my own decision. IGN gave Resistance 2 the highest score of the entire franchise soooo I'm not too worried about what they thought of this one.
I'm okay with them not showing up this year, but it would be nice to hear about some of their games that have yet to even be seen... Agent.
I would also love to hear about a new GTA for the Vita. They sold, what, 15 million copies between both PSP-exclusive GTAs (Liberty and Vice City Stories)? Let's see another one! I don't even care if it looks like the old GTAs, I'd freak out just seeing a San Andreas port to the system.
Can't wait until I get a chance to pick this up when I pick up my Vita next week!!
I'm not tech expert, but the "2160p" part of the specs don't even sound close to legitimate. It looks to me like whoever wrote that sheet just added 1080p + 1080p to get the number. Again, I'm no tech expert, but past resolutions don't just multiply to get the next thing:
480 + 480 is NOT 720
720 + 720 is NOT 1080

Same here.. well, I'm going to buy the Vita regardless within a few weeks' time, but I'm waiting to see if anything happens at E3 before I go buy one.
If it drops in price, that's more games and accessories I can buy for it! If not, it looks like I'll be restricted to just the Vita, memory stick and 1 game for the time being :/

I know people have emphasized that the slot doors are a bit fidgety to work with, but I realize they don't make a huge deal out of it (aside from smaller gaming sites), probably for the same reason I don't. I think we would all prefer to have to work a bit to open it up than to have it loosely flapping around in the air and allow dirt and other particles in the compartment.

Speaking of tactics, it was pretty smart of Sony to include some free mini-games using AR for the Vita's launch in the rest of the world.
I really wish Sony would get better with showing off what their products can do. When it comes to America, they need a different commercial showcasing a specific feature, how it works and why it's cool.

Not sure if you thought I was referring to US totals or worldwide, but I was referring to worldwide. I don't think the PS3 ever outsold the 360 for a year total (I could be wrong).
I'm also not sure what other numbers you're referring to.
For this year as in 2012? I would have to disagree.
The PS3 outsold the 360 worldwide (like it normally does) since the holiday shopping season ended on New Year's Eve. Current sales figures (although we only have about a week or two's worth of numbers for 2012 so far) show the PS3 outselling the 360 worldwide like it usually does after the big Christmas shoppings.

I bought a PSP twice before. One a few months after launch (the 1000, of course) and a 3000 for my birthday a couple of years ago after I lost my 1000. I sold my 3000 just before the launch of Uncharted 3, but I still have all the games on UMD.
I'm hoping there's a good transfer program for the Vita to get downloadable versions of my UMD games (all the games I own are currently on the PS Store).

Since 2007-2008, people have been saying that the PSP was a software wreck and that it's prime had past way earlier than Sony thought because of piracy and all that..
but now that we have a new playstation to pick on, it's the thing to pick up??

Here's my brief prediction of E3 "winners" this year:
1. Sony - the fact that price drops for the PS3 and Vita are likely this year get me very excited, which I'm sure many gamers that don't own either or will be as well. The suspense of whether or not they'll hint at a PS4 (I highly doubt it) is also keeping the industry very anxious, but the biggest factor? The games! It's already expected that they'll be talking about nothing but games sin...
