I will always find it more exciting to actually go out and purchase a physical game than it would be to purchase and download a game on a digital storefront. I don't know... maybe I just like the social aspect of doing that. It feels lonely doing it digitally and I always feel like I'm doing something I shouldn't. haha

Anyway, I said that in 2009 when they said that half of video game revenue would be digital by 2012, and I say it again a year after their projecti...

These names are, by far, the silliest names for a potential console that I have ever witnessed.

Except for the Orbis, of course, which was most definitely the most popular code name for the system. It would have made perfect sense, but it's just too risky to throw their naming trend out the window.

When the eighth generation of consoles approaches, people would most likely look for a new name from Nintendo, a PlayStation 4 from Sony and an Xbox 540 or 720...

That video is a year old.. I don't get this article. I used to do that all the time with my phone. It was easy, quick and really convenient!

I'm not certain, as is anyone else here, about how Sony's version of this feature works, but from what I read, there is a possibility of not having to be "always online" for this feature.

The way they described it didn't have a theme of "streaming". They simply mentioned that the digital library will be accessible to your friends upon signing in as you.

This makes it closer to that of the gamesharing feature on PS3 than it does...

I feel like it's probably both PS3 & PS4, or all three (PS3/PS4/Vita).

I think what makes me most excited is the focus on taking things back to the PSOne days in terms of development strategies. That era brought some of the most incredible titles in gaming history.

It was a simple, fun time and the PS4 is just oozing with nostalgia from that generation. All they need is a new Crash Bandicoot and I'm set for life...

I don't think the XBO requires batteries for it's controllers, hahahaha!

..... does it?

Seriously, I have no idea. If it does, that would be absolutely ridiculous at this day in age.

Best Buy allows you to put $25 down, but I'm pretty sure that you aren't guaranteed a system on launch day.

I went to Gamestop to put my pre-order down just last week. Looks like I got in there in good time.

I don't think it was something they were particularly interested in partly because it was a massive risk that could have easily backfired on them, as it proved to do for Microsoft.

It seems to me like they designed the console with everyone else in mind to ensure the most support. Used games for GameStop and the gamers, easy to develop for but powerful hardware for developers and an open strategy for indie support.

It's not like the old, arrogant Sony...

A giant inflatable floating baby. hahaha

Anyway, I wonder what the final product will look like. Hopefully we see it all come to fruition soon.

hahahaha, you all completely misunderstood my premise...

@hankmoody - No. I don't think PS3 gamers appreciate more thoughtful, artsy video games. I simply referenced those four because they're all praised for elements beyond the status quo. The fact that they all happen to be exclusive is merely coincidence. Let's not jump the gun.

@warewolfSS - I'm not a "PS Fanboy." In fact, I don't even have a PS3 anymore. I sold it. I did hav...

This is the unfortunate truth of this industry.

We try our hardest to tout it as an art form and are quick to shove games like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Journey and Heavy Rain in the faces of those in the film industry...

But when it comes down to it, it's games like these that show us what really keeps the industry from being recognized by any other. I would say that, 7 times out of 10, the E3 "Best of Shows" or the games that everyone talks a...

The PS3 and Wii actually launched within just two days of each other in the US.

PS3 - November 17th, 2006
Wii - November 19th, 2006

I gotta say, I'm not a very big "mech" fan, but I can see all of the appeal going around about this game. I'll definitely give it a try if (when) it makes it's way to PS4.

And... who am I kidding? Even if it doesn't, I still wouldn't need to buy an Xbox One just yet. I have a perfectly good 360 at my house right now that will play it just fine. No need to shell out an extra $500 right away. That's kinda where I don't see the need to by th...

Well, I guess that's your opinion. As for me, it's clear that they aren't. If they can't get their PR fiasco under control, things overall at the Xbox camp are probably out of control, as well.

Who knows what they could be thinking over there? I honestly expected more of a jump in pre-orders after their announcement on Wednesday, but it's pretty obvious that half of the public is still confused while the other half are hesitant to even trust Microsoft afte...

Removing kinect would not only prove that they've been lying about just about every aspect of the XBO, but also makes it (and I'm putting this nicely) as close to a glorified, $500+ Xbox 360 as Microsoft can get.

The only thing new that it would do is change the channel of your cable or satellite.. which can be done with a remote or even your phone. That would not be a good sign at all.
