Game looks like it is really up to the hype so far...
And those griping about KZ1 - I still think it is one of the best shooters out still. I like it more than COD4 or Army of Two to be honest. Still play it on the PS3.

Here in South Africa - with no marketing - LBP sold out. I had to order it online to get a copy (gets delivered tomorrow) - but all the game stores I visited yesterday said it was released on Friday, and sold out on Friday. And there was no in store adverts for it.
LBP will have legs. It is going to sell a couple of million at least. Maybe not in the first month - but this is one of those titles that will be selling for a very long time.
We will see bundles instead of Price cuts. As good as a price cut.
How do they account for exclusives. And where does 2nd Party titles fit in?
The graphics chip seems to be the biggest culprit. Is there maybe some fault on the ATI side? It also seems to be a bad idea to have an overclocked GPU in the device - because that is what it comes down to.
Sony had the RSX clock lowered - the result is a rock solid machine - no overheating, warping of motherboard, RRoD etc.
If MS lowered the GPU clock speed - maybe the XB360 would have been more reliable?

Seems like devs are getting their heads around the PS3 now. With Wipeout HD, KZ2, R2, R&C, Uncharted - it seems asif the devs are beginning to get the PS3 architecture. Maybe the XB360 is on its way to RRoD. Is it freezin with other games as well? Sounds a bit too bad to be true.
You can have an upscaled image to 1080p - with horrible artifacts due to compression. It sometimes looks like portions of the image is static with only a few pixels changing - giving a most horrible effect. This is the type of 1080p that the cable and the small sized files give. You can not beat native resolution.

With the new releases it is clear that BR is growing faster than DVD did in its early days... and he declares this as "going cold". How daft can you get? Maybe he is getting paid to be daft.

It is not conjecture as you put it... and you know it. And trying to quote other consoles does not even things out as you hope. Never in the history of consoles has such a shoddy quality product been released. And no matter how you try to spin it - MS was hasty. They wanted a year head start - and now they will drop the price to nearly the PS2 price point just to try and stay in the game.
