They are just recruiting another set of new 2nd Party Dev Houses. The good ones will be bought.
Can be described as a disaster... but not a failure. Big diference.
The reputation of many of these devices does get them into trouble. If you buy a cheap HiFi, and it breaks within a year - then you grin and bear it.
If you buy a Sony and it breaks within 3 years you are unhappy. You buy a Sony - or any other recognized brand name because you trust that you will get quality.
At this point the XB360 has placed MS into the "cheap" and build-to-break category. One of the reasons I am glad I decided to get the PS3 is exacty du...
The sales numbers seems to indicate that the XB360 sells more (VGChartz, NPD etc), but PS3 brings in more revenue.
Could it be that lots of games shipped, yet not sold on XB360? Or much bigger cut on MS part than the rest? The number of games on the charts does not seem to support this - but hey - this is the publishers financial report - so there must be something that we don't know.
Same thing as Office. It is competing with the very succesful predecesor - without much reason to upgrade. Not much exclusive software for Vista - so why upgrade? No good or bad reasons - just economics. If XP is still good enough - then why would corporates upgrade? Same with Office 2007. If Office 2003 still does all you need - then why shell out for the little benefit?
Can be a number of things...
- RRoD causing that there is much less XB360 active than sold (must have some impact +/- 15 to 30%)
- Differences in the license holder cost. MS taking bigger slice?
And now they have to announce that it was actually from the same console... and watch ho the expert commentators fumble...
Yeah right...
They will make GT7 for the XB720, running in 1080p, 60fps needing 2GB RAM, and if we are to believe them... it will still run on the XB360.
Yeah OK, whatever.
To be honest... I think the PS3 puts Sony ahead of the curve. Why?
PS4 will most probably have upgraded Cell / multi Cell, Updated NVidia, Faster BR drive, Faster memory. And that is all that is needed. Cost of the Cell will be much lower, BR pricing for Sony will be very low, just the NVidia and memory to check for. And maybe a Wii motion controller.
Wii on the other hand, will need a major upgrade. The XB360 as well. Which would mean a different technology for the new ge...
First you had the "review" sites doing the tricks to make PS3 screenshots look bad, even using PS3 screen capture to make XB360 look better (racing game), to giving absurd scores to PS3 exclusives. Some of these sites went under. Now the fanboys getting into it. Simple solution. You only allow voting for a game - in-game, online. That means if you have a copy, you go online, you can vote once on a site - after a certain % completion level. Same for reviewers. Only ata certain % comp...
Hope they bring it to the PS3 as well
I most probably don't reply the way you expected... but here goes again...
- Hating a company is not good enough reason to sue them...
- Apple becoming such a brand recognized item that other MP3 players don't sell is also not anti-competitive, and also not a reason to sue
- There needs to be proof of anti-competitive behavior, and in the case of the iPod, there is none
What we have is monkeys jumping up and down demanding blood - as long as it is not the...
He forgot to plug the cable in - that is why nothing worked...
Model number? cable connection?
You can not sue someone or a company because their product sells well. There must be more of a reason than that. For example - MS is known to modify API's in Windows versions or with Service Packs to sabotage their competitor's products. Now for that you can sue - and MS was sued and lost a number of times. Or you can sue if a company steals your source code - like MS stole code from Quicktime - they had to settle with Apple for that - part of it was to continue Office for Apple.

MP3 is a format that any company can use to build a MP3 player. The Apple product is a luxury model. It is expensive. It is not undercutting the price, and it is not in any way preventing others from competing.
Apple's only guilt is that they build a very very good product, marketed it so well that the consumer wants an Apple - not any other MP3 player. I know - I bought my wife one - as she refused to have any other cheap MP3 player.
Whoever is suing Apple should ha...
But BR is dead. DD will kill it...
Just call it a Chimera religion and insult the Chimerans. Problem solved.
If GoW2 was on PS3, I would get it as well as KZ2. And for the clowns who keep on harping about the first KZ being bad - no - it was great. I prefer it over games like Army of Two an COD4. Still play it - more than COD4.
It would just take me longer to buy a PS3. One of the reasons I got the PS3 was because of the BR player. And after experiencing what a high quality player it is - reading the scratched PS2 disks etc, not scratching disks... I am glad they made it such a high quality machine.
So BR is bad...
Then the XBnext arrives - with a BR drive... then BR will be all good. Just fanboy noise predicting the demise of BR.
