Casual gamers will like this. My wife spends a lot of time on Facebook. Playing Texas Holdem Poker. The only game she got into with the kids on the PS3 now is LBP.
Home is like a multimedia Facebook on the PS3. The thrill with Facebook games is not that it is difficult... but because there is easy games, and many people in it. With Home getting people in it... it will become popular.
There are thousands of levels already created. It might not become the best seller... but it will sell 3 to 4 million in its lifetime.
With a team of 12 people - a million sold already - wish I could create such "failures".
The PS3 community is amazing. Just look at the million seller titles out there. These people like the title so much - they bought five. Amazing.
Strange the sudden "typos" in the media. Strange that it seems too calculated...
The price of the XB360 is lower / equal to the PS2 now here in South Africa. But with PR / trash talk like this... I will rather get a Wii.
So if Atari declares their remake of Space Invader in monochrome graphics as GOTY - should we all take it seriously? Heck - I have never even heard about this site before...
I actualy own only one BR title (Monster House) that came with the PS3. But I own around 40 PS3 games now. As enthuisiastic as I am about BR - I do not yet put my money down - because it is so expensive - down here anyway.
But BR is awesome for games. No more disk scratching. And the PS3 plays the PS2 titles well - without adding scrathces to the disk. Which is funny really. Of the two consoles - the XB360 really needed the drive that is less prone to scratch - or the BR coating...
That was classic
Now Home is "bizarre". Something that you have to survive. Hating much lately?
When he gets pwned all over the net he can claim ignorance... or stupidity. But it still comes down to blatant on-purpose self-imposed ignorance.
And actually - strange - because Linux does give the opporunity to really dig into the hardware on a low level. There was a number of successes, but plugged quickly. So it must come down to a simple thing - good design.
Now turn your screen on and look again...
Oh snap...
So why do people listen to "analysts" again?
But HD-DVD $99 players was going to kill it...
No... DL was going to kill it...
No wait... DVD will kill it...
Oh snap...
The XB720 will have a BR drive. MS will only announce it the month of the launch for damage control.
From will PS3 rule or PS3 must be saved...
Neither...
It will be in the middle of the road - and have the longest cycle of the three current gen consoles. It is doing well - with the smaller chipsets it will turn profit, prices will come down - and it will have great titles. IGN must need saving - hence the flamebait headlines...
No it is not maxed out. There will always be some new technique to optimize performance. PS3 has the advantage - as the SPU's are only now being utilized as we see in KZ2 - so the gap will widen. But this does not mean that the XB360 will not improve as well.
You were most probably gutted when you heard that Gran Turismo, Uncharted, R&C, R:2 and Killzone was going to be PS3 exclusives. They all most probably had to have the graphics "downgraded".
Might be time for a comparitive analysis of reviews when they are done with the KZ2 scoring. It is about time that the reviewers get their opinions shoved up their @sses.
1Up should have expected a backlash when they stepped into this one - and a mere "clarification" to justify himself is just not going to cut it. 1Up got caught red-handed. And this time it is going to cost them big.
Every negative hint was disproved. The game exceeded the target render, the gameplay held up. The people in the first reviews confirmed what the game is like. And then a whole bunch of people started wondering out loud and prediting that 1Up and the group of PS3 haters would come up with some strange way of hating on it. The anticipation grew as people waited for 1Up's preview - and as it hit the net - it confirmed absolutely what everyone hinted at. Contradicting statements just to find some...
There is not much story here. BR is the next gen. Content creators like Sony, Warner, Disney etc will make their content more and more available on BR... and then exclusive content... some movies will be only on BR...
And so the viewing public will be moved to BR... regardless of MS protesting that DDL is the future or whatever. BR will be here for ten years at least. And it will rule. HD-DVD died. BR will be 200 to 450 GB sizes.
Trying to play it down in a gaming f...
