I have lost bubbles - and that for good comments without offending anyone. If you write a good comment you don't need 5 bubbles anyway. One is good enough.

But I agree - the bubbles thing has become a fanboy wartool to attack others. Lots of Xbots trying to kill bubbles for anyone that is not part of the "clan". Stupid really - but hey - a good comment needs only one bubble. And if you edit your comment - well - then the bubbles is really a moot point. Only to be both...

The sun came up
PS2 still selling well
Wii selling like hotcakes
Another XB360 broke, someone is on their 2nd or 50th replacement XB360
Someone is still on their launch console and is perplexed at others who experience RROD

OK OK... we get the point. How about some news for a change?

If a business division goes nowhere - it gets pulled. The XB360 is just MS defense against losing the living room - and with it the future PC market against the PS3 with Linux.

They have to do it - otherwise Linux with PS3 becomes the de facto platform for the future - people having their first computing experience with Linux, and staying with it. They will throw billions into defending their version - which is to sell you a XB360 - at an enormous loss - but making it dependent...

I would not trust EA. Heck - he wrecks all he puts his hands on.

Had major flop with Dreamcast. Now major flop due to XB360 reliability. Maybe he was pushed because of it. That is how corporates work. When they fixed the problem they first push someone out before launching the fix - gives the new broom idea that the new person fixed the problem and that all is well now. But Moore must be a bit disappointed. He had a top console with the DC, lost badly, had the initiative and near limitless budget of MS and flopped again. What is he going to do to EA? Move ...

MS lost the initiative. With the massive problems they have, they will need to re-launch when they release with the 65nm chip and prove that it is more reliable - otherwise the momentum will continue downwards. Just the way the market works. They most probably lost this generation already due to the RROD and disk scratches. They should really focus on making a very very reliable 65nm XB360, swallow the fact that sales will be less than before - but try to salvage their reputation. If the 65nm...

And 500 hundred of my friends who play their's 24/7 since launch day has never had a single problem. The disks looks better than the day we bought them, and not a single RROD amongst all of us. Any person who do anything more than hit theirs with a baseball bat while playing must have scratched their disks with a screwdriver because the titanium coating can withstand flamethrowers and attacks with sandpaper. All the stories of RROD and scratched disks are made up by haters.

So they experienced growth. 20% increase would mean 5 sold instead of 4. 5% decline - so the BR now sells 10 instead of 11. That does not mean HD-DVD is outselling BR - just that they experienced more "growth".

Torture figures and they will confess to anything. HD-DVD lost. End it quick.

My kids will love it. The boys just love dragons and monsters. War of the Monsters got a bit of a workout at my place. Personally I hated it - just fighting game - instead of babes and guys - monsters and lizards - but they loved it. This one will get their attention because - it has dragons - oohhhh. Hopefully I will like it too.

Maybe it had to do with a specific shipment. Most consumer electronic devices would sometimes have different parts in their manufacturing life cycle.

Don't have a XB360 - not planning on getting one - but if you work with electronics, and buy lots for a corporate, you sometimes notice that the same model sometimes have different parts. Sometime you will have a Seagate hd, or a Maxtor or WD. The CD / DVD part seems to be a popular part to see different models with same specs in...

They are not the only ones buying hard disks. If the 120GB cost the same as the 60GB part, the obviously they should pass it on to the consumer. Factories price according to demand. If demand for 40GB is low - it will end up costing more than the 120GB part. So why hang on to the 120GB out dated part? Move with the industry and pass the benefit on to the consumer. MS has a bit of a problem though - so they will not just simply have new sizes as the parts become more or less in demand. Sucks. ...

So you have a PS3. You have a HD TV set. You ant to get a BR movie. So you rush out and buy a standalone BR player? You switch to the stanalone BR player whenever you want to view a BR movie? Come on. Even the ones arguing that side don't believe that it will makes sense.

6764d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

They have digital files. Exactly the same. Cannot be different. The BR can not be better than the HD-DVD and vice versa. Get over it. It is a container or digital files. Only difference will be with the playback equipment. I favor Sony and Blu-Ray - but the quality cannot be higher on the same digital file. If you copy the file on BR, HD-DVD or HD - it will be the same. Enough with this comparisons. It just prove the reviewers stupidity if they find the one better that the other. All you can ...

Only when the must-have titles is out, Halo3, Lair, HS, KZ2, Bioshock, Haze, (don't know any Wii titles), will we know what the situation is. Oh - don't forget price drop for PS3 as well. My PS2 is still OK, I am waiting for price drop and three titles or so before I will go over to PS3. XB360 - not interested. Wii - interesting, but don't see any must-have title there yet. Holiday Dec will be the proving ground. Until then, figures are just figures. It still will not make MGS4, The Getaway, ...

MS entry into any market is marked with massive FUD and hate. I remember in the late 90's when the MS reps tried to convince me that by 2000 there will be only one software company left. That was their vision - to kill of all competition. Now it is the same - they cannot co-exist. That is where all the viral marketing and FUD against Sony is coming from. And that is also the reason why I won't get an XB360.

6774d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Or do you really think people buy a separate HD TV? One for games and one for movies?

Of course it is being bought as a BR player. This crap of people will not be watching movies on it - but rather buy a standalone player... get real. Buy one get two devices... makes sense.

And no - down loadable content will not kill it off. Not everyone has big internet connection bandwidth to waste on 20GB downloads.

Whats up with all the delays.. Drop Katamari and put effort in getting titles like this on time.

6774d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Never liked Katamari. Played the demo from one of the PS magazine demo disks on PS2 long ago - was fun for 5 minutes... but that was about the lasting appeal. Hey - look at this funny crazy thing.. ha ha ha.. ok- where is The Getaway or R&D / J&D disks so we can play....

Really - I don't even think of Katamari as more than a little time killing while looking for a disk.
