The twit who whines at the "missing" EE. It was there because the software compatibility was not ready yet. It is not required - not "missing". They did not gut the PS3 - but with the whiners there is nothing that Sony can do that will be good enough.
Sony could make the PS3 upscale all games, make it compatible with PS2, XBox1, PC games etc, and the whiners will point at a single imperfection and pretend that the sky just fell.

Maybe people should hold out for the 65nm model when it comes out.
Well - since MS is so on the "death" thing (Blue Screen of Death, Red Ring of Death) I wonder what they will deliver for the portable XBox. Pink LCD of death?
Could be indication that they are phasing out one motherboard for another...
They made sure they have stock of the one, and now they will start the next motherboard - most probably for the 65nm model. What do you think?
R:FOM was a 1st gen title. Halo3 is beta. Compare Killzone 2 and Halo3 when both are released. Even if R:FOM "wins" this screen shot comparison, Halo 3 should improve a lot in the optimization in the last 4 months. Killzone 2 is its natural competitor, even if they differ somewhat.
This comparison is pointless. A finished game vs Beta. Come on. I don't like MS and XB360, but can we just wait until the title is released before we start comparing?
When t...
One of my friends - 40 year old - absolutely anti-games character. And after showing him the Eyetoy, was playing the mini games in the first eye toy game for hours. And this guy absolutely hated video games of any sort.
Can't wait for the new HD eye toy.
My kids, from 7 year old to 15 loves this game on PS2. Please make the microphone wireless this time. All the cables tangled around - controller, two microphones - quite a bit to untangle after a session...
This game will be huge - a system seller for the wannabe singers...
So whites should pay more for their PS3's?
Interesting reasoning. So African Americans should get a discount voucher for their PS3's from Walmart because they are ... black?
You will need a tbyte hd for digital distribution. A full BR title will take up anything from 20GB to 50GB. Now with a 60 or 120 GB hd, you can load around 3-5 titles - and then your HD is maxed out. BR is here to stay for quite some time. Digital distribution is in infancy and will not be pervasive for another 5 to 10 years at least.
80GB is OK for game caching, and a couple of audio titles. A media centre will need much more storage.
I think it will be a hit. Thousands of games. Sony must just release it on a small DVD for a portable PS2. It will take the market by storm....
Some of us don't have much of a chance to get good internet bandwidth like - here in South Africa. Make some single player content. Just a little bit - please.....
Likes dabbling with all the toys out there. Why? Because it is there. So of course he would play with the XB360 toys. And the Wii toys.
They will most probably have less intro movies, less victory movies for teams etc.
And most probably split the teams - national teams on one DVD and premier league teams etc on other DVD. Meaning you most probably on XB360 will not be able to play Liverpool against Germany national team etc.
Not the biggest deal in the world - well... for me anyway as I don't plan on getting a XB360.
And no - it is not for "padding" to improve loading ti...
Both Sony made huge promises for the living room this gen.
The reason MS must kill Sony is because if Sony wins the living room, then sales for Vista and Windows will go down the tube.
Imagine Sony PS3 with Linux (OpenOffice, GIMP, media players, networking, basic productivity apps - meaning - no need for a PC to do basic office work), which means - no Vista Home sales.
Then imagine PS3 with BluRay videos, games, media players, music downloads, vid...
They can not support Windows on PS3. Windows only runs on Intel chips, not PowerPC based. That is why MS does not support Windows on XB360 either.
OpenGL is open. DirectX is Windows proprietary.
So - your statement is in fact STUPID. It is rather - why is DirectX not available on other platforms but MS. It is because they try to control the market by closing it to everything but MS platforms.
In order to get support for Windows or DirectX is not a...
Hey - not all of us have blazing internet connections. I want single player missions with the option to play multi player.
Still a bit of time left to polish and improve textures etc. Looks like it is coming along nicely.
Well - we will start seeing more content on PS3 due to BR. XB360 owners must just pressure the devs to release multi disk titles. Not that a big deal. Only online titles will suffer if you have to shuffle disks.
Some of us down South does not have the bandwidth to download games of this size. It would actually be cheaper for us to fly to Japan, download it, fly back. With our network speed it would be faster as well than to download. Maybe Sony realize that.
Don't really care what IGN says. They constantly try to downplay any PS3 news. The great thing is - when I get my PS3, I will be able to play nearly all my PS2 titles. And many will even look better as a bonus.
The XB360 fanboys trying to downplay this - shame. Still can't play your old XB titles? Heck - with so many new titles still coming out for the PS2 it is all good.
Thumbs down for IGN and their crappy reporting. They seem to compete with Kotaku and TheInq...
