It is about the only new release worth getting for HD-DVD. Blu-Ray has many other titles, that is why it is outselling HD-DVD. All it proves is that there is not much else to buy for HD-DVD.
Have Tekken, and the kids sort of like it - it just eventually turns out that I switch the thing off because most of the fighting starts to take place away from the controllers...
These games have really limited appeal for me - fight, next character, fight three rounds, next level, fight... yawn...

PS3 is bound to have more levels on some games with more detail, if the devs decide to only release a single DVD for XB360. I think most will just shrug and release a two or three DVD edition for the XB360 and let people just swop disks. Little bit annoying - but hey - what can they do.
How the heck does someone get that many bubbles with so little knowledge. CPU's have cores. Disks has layers. You must be thinking quad layer BD - but I am not sure the PS3 will read those.

The way MS work - they will just release the 720 and drop support for the 360. The next bunch of apps will just have to wait for the 720. Sony will offer more apps on the XMB than the MS console - because they take a more longterm commitment view to their console.

The Wii is running away with sales at the moment. When the catalogue of BluRay titles become very widely available and pervasive, and titles that takes advantage of BR space, we will see PS3 outselling the XB360. The Wii sales will start dropping when the PS3 price cuts kick in, and when a slimline PS3 is out, couple of HD Camera titles is on the market.

Actually compression should work better on the Cell CPU. The SPU's should really crunch through compression as if there is no tomorrow.
But then - so what if it is on 3 or 4 DVD-9's vs 1 BluRay disk. Yes it is nicer, production cost should be lower on a single BluRay disk (packaging etc) - but in the end - so the XB360 0wners will shuffle a few disk. It is not that big a deal.
The cost of components drop all the time. This $100 cut is in one component, not taking into account the rest of the shopping list. I would be surprised if they did not break even in May already.
Just take into account - BluRay diode price drop, EE chip dropped, better chip yields, normal price decreases on other components - which some of them are in-house - which will mean Sony get them cheaper that what iSupply thought. When the 65nM based unit ships, they will be breaking ...
Hopefully they can have some buffer to enable them to release the 65nm version by December, and give us a good price drop. At least half of them are not getting returned with red rings of death.
