Most people don't appreciate the blood. sweat and tears that goes into making these titles. This is true for Gears of War, Halo (Which I won't play - don't have a XB360), R&C, R:FOM, Bioshock, MGS4, Killzone, GT5, Forza etc etc.
Fans can hurl insults from the side, pretending a title don't "deserve" their attention. The truth is that the people doing the work behind the scenes are professionals, hard working - and a damn sight more intelligent that the 12 year old...

I bought a PS3. I watch Blu Ray movies on it. I play games on it. When I want a BR movie - I buy it. Why on earth would I buy a standalone player to watch movies?

Steadily passing on the benefit of component prices to the consumer. Obviously the 80GB drive cost same or less than the 60GB drive, so they pass the benefit to the consumer. Great. And with the ability to just swap the drive with a standard drive - even better.

There is place for three consoles. There is space for 5 Operating Systems. There is room for only one format. CD -> DVD -> BD.
HD-DVD will only be available as long as Toshiba hang on to it. They should have unified with the BD format. They are getting dropped at retail and rentals. Not even MS last push with add-on for XB360 will change it. Let it go.

I have the PS2 ones. They are amazing. Get the PS3, get this game. If it is not released yet, get the PS2 games. They are more playable than many new games. They are just immense fun. I would say that for my kids this is the most anticipated title. (For me The GetAway, KZ2, MGS4)
R&C is a game you will not regret having gotten a PS3 for.
MS did make a smart move with the 3 year warranty. In effect it is a recall of the XB360. Because every XB360 will most likely die in a 3 year period. Then they fix it with the better heat sink - and hopefully for XB360 owners - the problem will be fixed. And the negative press associated with a recall will be avoided. Smart move on their side. Caching to hard disk is better.

No. Blu Ray and HD-DVD gives exactly... EXACTLY.. the same quality. A digital file on one is the same as the other one. Exactly. Down to the last binary bit. The codec translates the file. The file resides on the disk. The only difference is the max size of the files (50GB vs 30GB), and the transfer speed (Blu Ray > HD-DVD). The rest is a function of the playback equipment - that can be exactly... EXACTLY the same.
