My kids are still playing the old R&C games. They are amazing.
Reviewers lost credibility for some time now.
Wow kid... x86 is intel, both PS3 and XB360 is PowerPC cores.
I must say that I am surprised at how the Wii took off. I mean - before it was released I thought they would end dead last after the GC. Boy was I wrong. Don't plan to get one though - but still. Ninty just seem to get it. PS2 still whooping ass also. But that was expected. PS2 has still at least another year or two left in it. But for now - clearly Wii is winning the new console race.
Points for frame rate issues are only deducted if it is for a PS3 version. If the PS3 version has extra maps - no points. If it has one less map - -20%.
I have a EE-less PS3 - Euro model. Over 40 PS2 titles. All work as good or better than on PS2. Sony did good with the SW BC on PS3.
Reviewers are just funny. The game looks good. Those who own it says otherwise. Maybe the dragon crapped on his porch.
If he disses a major customer like Sony, he will be out on his ear. It is just a job. If he worked for Sony he would have said the XB360 has little "value proposition" - or whatever. If the games sell on both EA makes more money. He has no loyalty to anything but the money he is paid to keep EA in the news and make them look good.
There is very few titles out for both. Early days... DVD took a long time to overtake VHS. BR will win anyway. DVD will eventually be phased out.
The reviewers are losing their power over purchasing decisions because of stupid reviews. I am not a fashion nut - so I tend to wait until a game hits platinum before I buy it... (Did not wait with The Getaway though and some other ones)
Lair is doing fine. Those owning the game seems to like it. Good enough for me. My kids will see it... and the rest will be history. Same with R&C. Will not get time to wait for platinum...
The last one they can pull off now is to indicate that HD-DVD leads as the most popular add-on for a console. That would be because it is the only add-on one - but this is the last number that they can quote to "prove" that they are still in the race...
Yet it is already in the top ten...
The reviewers exposed themselves as being incompetent. I will pick this game up. It looks great, those who actually have it - most of them - thinks it is worth the money.

We see tech demo's on specific elements, pre-alpha builds, and some are judging the AI of the final product already? My my.. next people will be judging the AI of a game based on the box art...
They will drop the XB360 like the XBox. The PS2 games work on the PS3 - which means will be able to get some good budget titles - compared to more expensive PS3 titles when I feel like it. All my old titles - around 40 of them also work on the PS3. I would say at the moment my kids play around 65% of the time their old PS2 titles - only one in the house who appreciate the 720p graphics on my video projector is myself. Wow... they are absolutely desperate for bad news to do this. The pre-alpha build tested? It is like comparing the CG intro movie and make a call on the AI based on that.
Someone is getting desperate to post bad news for the PS3. With the Warhawk, Lair, HS review fiasco - and now this... these sites lost all credibility. Crash and burn baby - even hardcore XB360 supporters will question the validity of this BS.
Lesson to be learned - ignore the reviewers when the "bad scores" gets hyped.
The reviews on Warhawk was bad also... and look how that is turning out... it became a rebuke to the "reviewers".
What went wrong is that someone thought that having a reviewer that reviewed for two sites - giving Lair bad scores - will have a huge influence. When this is all said and done, the reviewers are the ones who lost credibility.... simple as that.The bias ...
Here in South Africa it will cost me more to download a game or a movie than to buy the BR edition. That is how expensive Internet bandwidth is in some places. It is actually cheaper to fly to Japan, download 100Gigs of data, stay over, and fly back - than to download it here.

Amazing. The people who complain the most about the downtime are the xbots who don't even play the game. And better still, people who troll the PS3 news so much, and get confused with their own posts that it is clear that it is not a single person "manning" the account - but a bunch of trolls watching for PS3 related news to jump onto.
Warhawk - as decided by the gaming community by the time they take to play it - is a AAA title.

I still buy PS2 games - even after I put the PS2 on the shelve - because they work 100% with the PS3. This may prove to be more important than most people think.
If a game is fun - then you will buy a PS2 game to play on your PS3. For the devs - they can count on those still holding onto their PS2's, and even some PS3 owners to buy their games.
