Quote "This was no accident, there is no doubt about that, it was an intentional region lock, most likely to stabilise the US servers." unquote
Total and utter absolute fabrication:-
Don't pass your ill founded assumptions off as facts when they are plainly not facts at all. If there is any real eveidence to support your comment, then offer it. Otherwise it's a worthless and very unlikely opinion.
Its astonishing and somewhat sad, that a story about the utter futility of fanboyism, and how ridiculous it is make personel attacks, should engender a reply such as yours.
If I thought you were being ironic, I'd maybe salute your black humour, but the fact of the matter appears to be that you simply lack the intelligence to understand the entire point of this story... quite pathetic really.
So we have to wait a couple of weeks for demo, so what? You all know that creating an account in a region you are not in, means you are downloading content not designed or tested for your machine, so there no point in acting like Sony execs shot your mum.
I'd like to play the demo too. I'll have to wait till I can play a demo designed for my machine.
People attitudes over this are trully pathetic...
It IS out!
....and its really not so bad. Not brilliant, but not bad. The control scheme actually works quite well for me, with the exception of the 180 degree turn. Where this game fails is in its fairly lacklusture tasks and missions, the controls for flying are actually quite fun!
Still, I can't recommend it...:)
I do understand your point of view, and even approve of it as too many threads are hijacked by fanboy flamewars.
But this is a good and informative article, well written , and suprisingly unbiased.
Its of no suprise that the PS3 versions of many games suffer as they are often quickly ported from the 360/PC version. What is heartening for that platform, is that its becoming increasingly obvious that if you spend a little more effort, some decent parity can be achi...
Hard to understand who's actually buying this!
I'm a huge RPG fan and put up with a lot of bad interfaces and bad AI to get my RPG fixes sometimes. But without a doubt, this game is the biggest pile of steaming dung I have ever placed in my 360. That there are some elements and ideas that I do like, is blown away by the overwhelming dreadful list of faults, issues and plain bad programming that this game displays around every frame stuttering corner. The enemy AI in particular,...
Its a good read and highly recomended if you are a dev, or wish to be one. I got it through the door a few days ago though, so the news seems a little late....
It all looks good to me!
In game XMB? I can wait.
Video codecs? Don't care a bit... I access all my video's through a media server - use 'TVersity' and you can play any format your PC supports. I watch every single codec available on my PS3 already.
The rest of the updates look great.
I think it would only be fair to keep an eye on the sales numbers over the coming weeks and see how they settle. The source of these figures has a history of getting it wrong and heavilly revising the figures within a few days, and I suspect you'll see a revision of these estimates shortly.
The article though certainly paints a gloomy picture, one that I personally don't 'buy into' as I am playing lots of great titles on both 360 AND PS3, and the releases for christmas are stro...
You should read:-
Given the lack of similar reports from around the globe, we’d certainly hold off from declaring the 40GB as unreliable just yet.
Its simply a sensationalist headline gobbled up by 360 fanboys who seem desperate to share the spectre of machine failure. Yes I'm on my third 360, so its sore point!! :)
Having played this title, I've got to agree with this review. Even for a brian dead party game, this is really lame and completly without imagination.....
Well, what a day. I actaully find myself agreeing with themart today!
I applaud there economic success and their ability to make money - catering to a different demographic has been a big success for them. But not for a gamer like myself. Like most people I know, my WII sits around gathering dust and has so far been a big waste of money and a huge dissapointment to me.I'll dust it off for Mario of course, but we need a lot more than that.
I am still convinced tha...
I genuinely hope it does have a long lifespan. Like many people I was exceptionally disapointed by the callousness they showed the xbox users by dropping all support for the machine after such a short time. Effectively they twisted the arm of every xbox owner into buying its replacement. Having spent the money on it, I'd of liked it to last a lot longer, and I'm hopeful that my 360 won't be so casually dropped by MS.
I do expect it to look a little dated in a couple of years, w...
Really dull article with absolutely nothing to say. It was real waste posting this..
I must admit - I'm loving it! I wanted the eye for video chat with mates and to use the noise cancelling mic instead of a blutooth headset fro online matches, so I thought I might as well try it with a game.
I'm hooked. Search on Ebay to get cheaper cards... :)
Its hysterical seeing how confused some people are on this 1080p or not issue!
Its also very obvious that some people have failed to realise the difference between upscaling and native resolution.
Why does it matter? Because upscaling will not create new detail, natively rendering at a the full 1080P resolution will give you much more detailed picture with detial you won't see from an upscaled image.
Claiming that all 360 titles are 1080P is a bit rich - its great...
If you don't like card games, this won't completely change your mind.
But if like em, then this absolutely rocks and I've been having a brilliant time with mine. I've got 75 cards already, but the urge to get them all is almost over powering!
Love it!
In all the most important areas, theres no difference - bluray disc, hard drive and WiFi are all present and correct.
Biggest difference is no PS2 games playback. PS2 compatability is something you think you need (I know I did), but in reality, you don't ever use it once you have the machine.
Apart from that, theres 2 usb ports instead of 4. I've only ever used 2 (eyetoy and charging a controller), so the other 2 seem redundant to me.
Last, and def...
Pretty reasonable article for a change. Its difficult to argue with his conclussions.
Being a game nut, I have everything and enjoy them all, but I do agree that the choice is hard this christmass.
If your not a casual gamer, and want the largest choice of games right now, maybe the 360 is the choice. However, the PS3 is at last showing its hand, has more than enough great titles (exclusives and multi format) to keep most people happy, and I think most would agree its th...
Very poor article, with some very obvious inaccuracies.
Its quite obvious that the PS3 is a extremely good Bray player with exceptional video output circuitry, and this is available at a cheaper price than he quoted for a blue ray player.
..and its also a matter of record that HDdvd's don't have space for full uncompressed audio, while Bray does, so the ultimate audio quality of the format will be superiror (if you have the set up).
I've no probelm...
