Hey, its one mans opinion of what he thinks is best for a broad demographic. He's not a million miles off the mark, and he's obviously not hugely biased.
Its the not the list I'd pick, but I'm a core gamer and he's picking for a different audience.
@The Round Peg - Though you have a point about Lego Star Wars, you should remember that the 'the complete saga' is a very recent release with the engine looking significantly better on the 360 version I have, and whole...
Wow. This looks awesome at that sh**ty video resolution and the video 30fps speed. I'm stuggeling to imagine just how good it will look at full res and fps on my TV :)
I have to say, though PGR4 is a good looking game, it looks like its well and trully beten in terms of environmental detail and effects. Won't be able to say for sure till I can get my grubby hands on a copy though, but this is really exciting stuff..
OOps! Sounds like the launch of a new operating system!:)
I'm sure it will get fixed quick, a system like this needs to be robust!
Wow - you really do post utter trolling nonsense!
I love and play my 360 as much, if not more than my PS3! To accuse anything I've written as being from a fanboys perspective is utterly pathetic and shows quite clearly how warpped your reasoning is and how utterly childish you behave.
Do your self a favour and read the actual article. The whole point of the article was to compare the price of the machines with all the extras included - but you simply didn't bothe...
You need to chill mate!
Unfortunately, 'bot' and 'fan' posts are becoming inevitable on this site, and theres no point in letting them get you worked up. You've been guilty of making several yourself... :)
As for looking at 'what cables come in box', it's an extremely valid point to look at the real cost of a console if you want to choose it based on value!
..and finally, I'm afraid an article claiming that 'christmas belongs to the xbox360 arcade...
Glad to hear someone else picking up on this!
I've never missed Damage modelling. In games where damage has a significant impact on performance it dramatically changes how you race and approach the game.
Where it is simply cosmetic, it doesn't always look nice eiether. Its appropriate for some games and genres, but GT for me has always been about great sleek looking cars racing around great looking circuits. I don't want it to turn into a stock car racing event....
Since when did an american huge corporation consult with its regional offices before taking a strategic buisness decison?
Of course Australia and New Zealand will not be told until a decision is made by the parent company!! This story is utterly stupid and doesn't give us any more information about the rumopured switch than we already knew!
Though I can see a decent buisness case for them to go ahead with this, and part of me would like the format war to be settled (whi...
If you actually read the article - they are telling you that you absolutely need a hard drive. The prices they go on to suggest include most of the extras you need for a decent 360 rig, except the wifi that the majority of people will require, and the play and charge packs that are necessary for the controllers. Adding all the extra's together you find the arcade pack + all extras is cheaper.
It nice to see people actually considering the extras required even if they miss two important...
It was well documented that these stories were faked - or at best, exremely unreliable.
But there's no point in anyone crowing about 'told you so Xbots'.
SO4 has never been touted as a PS3 exclusive, so when the platforms for it are announced, it may well recieve a 360 version. Given the popularity of the title, and the strength of PS3 in its own region, its a fairly safe bet that PS3 will recieve it. But bear in mind that Square are very interested in improving its glob...
Well I'm glad they are using the Unreal engine anyway. Makes sense as their titles will most certainly be multi format now.
Much as I loved playing Mass effect, the engine was a bit buggy, so a better developed engine would be a big plus point!:)
Well at least people on this scheme KNOW they are being tracked and 'big brother is watching'!
What about all the poor suckers with Vista who don't realise just how much spyware MS has actually built into the system... is MS going to come clean with these people and reimburse them for invading their privacy?
No, I didn't think so..... :)
I think there a little hype going on with this statement!:)
Theres plenty of stock in almost every retailer in the UK, unless theres a huge regional variation!
Whilst the 360 continues to outsell the PS3 in the UK, its not by very much and the PS3 has gained some momentum in recent weeks....
It's the Wii thats hard to find over here, there 360's in every single shop you go to...
Ho ho! Cnet = Microsoft.
Microsoft employee backs MS for the win! Wheres the story? :)
He might be right, but when its Cnet, it really isn't news!
Hey, I'm a games fan and enjoy racers on all the machines! :)
Whilst I like Froza, it really isn't the complete article for me, and GT games still have a special place in my heart from the PSX and PS2 games before.
Whilst I do appreciate your point about the potential for new franchises like Forza to close the gap over the coming years, you seem to be assuming that GT will not continue to be developed! As much as those other games are developed so will GT, and I believe they hav...
Utter BS.
Give us one example in all the years this publication has been running.
You are obviously not aware of Famitsu's pedigree or longevity.
Nobody 'buys off' their reviewers.
They are the longest running most respected games publication in a country thats been obsesive about video games for far longer than we in the west have.
18 + years ago I was importing this title through the Japan travel centre at ST Pauls in London, and learning Japanese, just so I could keep up with Gaming news. In the west it was still seen as a ki...
WTF?
People have every right to hugely optimistic!
This is not speculation based on preview code and hype like the other titles you mention, this is totally different! This is playable cars on playable tracks and full online racing. No excuses. Playable code they can spend as much time with as they like. I've not known Famitsu to issue scores based on hype, so a score of this magnitude for a delivered product indicates something very special indeed. The full game will obviously ...
Great! Innovative titles like this, remind me of how much fun gaming can be.
I love COD4 like everyone else, but my heart still yearns for games that aren't hyper real 'shoot em in the head' sims, and this suits the bill perfectly. Just like Loco Roco did! :)
Always loved these games and been really disapointed that we haven't had it yet. Still no confirmation of a european release yet though....come on!!!
Unlike the above poster, I'm not into the TW controls at all and quite happy with the everybodys golf system, which is far more arcadey and suits the style of game it is. If you want SIM stick with Tiger, this game is fun! :)
There's many 100's of thousands of here in the UK mate! :)
I own all the machines myself, but of the people I know personally 5 have PS3's and no one else has a 360. (one did but he switched when the PS3 was released - his loss, keep em both!) Notice I don't mention the WII, no one but me owns one, and I must admit I've only played Mario & Zelda, I'm not fan of anything else.
It might be to do with demographic, as I'm much older than many people in here will be (in m...
