I don't see whats so suprising? With the install base being about 2 to 1 you'd expect twice as many people to be picking it up for the system they own?? Am I missing something?
If the poll had been for those with both systems, that might have shown us somehting about the effect, or not, of having the exclusive DLC on the 360.
Or if the poll had been of new purchasers asking which machine the game was going to propmpt them to buy, we might have learned something.

The issue for me was a 15 minute wait for a 2.5 gig install, and then the game found an updated version which it insisted on downloading before it started! I bought a disc, but I had to wait an hour before I could drive! Its a good job it was worth the wait... :)
The free map packs are most cetainly on the european PSN network.

I'm sorry dude - but you obviously have no idea how games are made and developed.
Whilst your idea is hypothetically OK from an end user perspective, for almost all game types, its impossible to make mutliple verisons of the title. Even for those titles where it might be possible, the costs of alternate scriptting, alternate assets, and the extra QA involved would be far too prohibitive.
Its a bit like trying to cut a violent film to make it suitable for kids - the film no lon...

Having a prologue version is an old buisness model.
Its allowed them to get the bulk of the systems and features in place and polished and release this as a cheap game. In the meantime they can now create the astonishing levels of content they need for the full price product, and at the same time work on some of the extra features.

Whilst you can dispute that VGchartz numbers are not fully accurate - and you'd be right to do so, claiming they are made up is outrageously stupid.
They are extrapolated from a small set of reported data and have historically proven to be an accurate tool for assessing the trends of sales, if not the actual hard number.

quite apart from having the necessary graphics configuration to power the blu ray, the console lacks the ability to output HD, so this is a no starter.
Daft article - I play 360 all the time, but I don't rate Halo 3 at all. The first was awesome , second pretty good and I thought the third was a missed opportunity - there's plenty of shooters I prefer to play on 360 and for a title that was supposed to be definetive shooter title for the 360, I though bungie let MS down.
There's so much else to play, how can you assert that you 'must' like one title?
