Touched a nerve Brucey?
The self-important comments in your reply only serve to highlight the very traits I point out!
"Now how many key people in the industry listen to what you have got to say?"
As of today - not too many. I left the intensive development scene for a quieter life, and now develop on freelance contracts. But over the last 16 years I have had the ear of, and shared many a pint with, some of the very biggest movers and shakers in ...
No one could be upset at having another Zelda game announced!
..and I'm all for having another pikman too.
But they will need a lot more to take the spotlight away from Sony and MS this year. I'm expecting soem big announcements from both, and just the titles already announced on those platforms are enough to get any real gamer drooling..
I'm pretty sure this is a couple of isolated incidents, it tends to happen with every nerw firmware.
Like most of you - I've not experienced any problems. Except my very first trophy from SSHD did not show in my PSN ID. I replayed the game and got another trophy - and now both show up, so it works eventually! :)
Your right of course - most the time I'd just pass it by!
But I particularly don't like Brucey boy. I've tried leaving intelligently written rebuttals to his arguments on his site, but he's not interested in letting them remain there and always makes sure they are not approved.
To see him in here - spamming his rubbish to generate some hits, is a little galling. I consider this place almost 'home turf'!
So I've taken the time vent some of my anger, as he c...
"Scrooge MacBoom - Get 10 bombs in Arcade"
I just had 14 bombs in arcade but I didn't get a trophy. Got them for completeing the worlds though...
Still playing fan boy games? Shame as I know your not really that stupid, but it obviously keeps you warm at night.
Bruce will say just about anything for a hit - and all the little sheep will play his game. By defending him and his BS viewpoint, you plainly show you have not the wit to see beyond the obvious bait.
He fishes, you kids swallow and get reeled in.
Classic example of 'biat for hit' stories:
"More eco rubbish from Gr...
Can't be bothered to type it all again so I'll just copy and paste:
Another submission from a man desperate to get hits on his own website. Can't we stop this 'hit fishing' submission rubbish?
@Bruceongames
I despise the pseudo-intellectual clap trap you dispense with an attitude that plainly shows how clever you believe you are. Your utter arrogance is a trait I've noticed with most people who worked in marketing for the big companies. I've been...

I've been a developer for a long long time, and you espouse everything that most developers fe...
"Live has it's community aspect, and PSN has it's simplistic Techy feel."
Once I read that, I just knew there was to be no reasoning with you.
Despite the fact you have no experience of PSN, you somehow think you know what its about and what its like to live with? I have loads of mates on PS3's with camera's. We regularly have multiperson video chat sessions to keep in touch despite the fact we all live in diffent parts of the country now. Is that not comunity?...
Its pretty unlikely that this is true!
Microsoft are many things, but they are not completly stupid and alowing this kind of big title to be a Hard drive only title would be be to spit int eh face of arcade and core owners - the very demographic they are seeking to enlarge.
I simply don't believe this.
Well, maybe theres just one old man in America who buys 380 million CD's a year????.... or maybe all the business's are lying and not selling anything at all. Good job you told me, or I might have belived the offical sales figures..
Wanna know why so many music shops are closing? Same as book shops, many people make such purchases online - as well as the 10% per annum drop associated with digital downloading.
Heres a tip. When your on a PC and want to know someth...
It is rather amusing how you ask " what advertising" and then go on to explain that there are adverts on live and why they are justified!
You're happy having that on your TV, thats fine, but I'm happier with an interface where I have customised backgrounds icons and sounds - I've designed my own XMB and I've no place for ads on it!
The idea that people are having a hard time with, is that one company can do it and absorb the costs, another company does ...
Sorry mate - but that's a pretty stupid comment.
Even the merest google search can immeidtaely show you that CD's still sell many many millions each year. In 2007 about 380 million cd's were sold to American customers, I find it impossible to believe you've never met one of them in 2 years.
Here in the UK one of biggest Retailaers, HMV, suprised analysts by shifting MORE CD's than they had the year before.
It would be daft to not acknowledge that d...
Whilst I'd choose physical media I can take and play anywhere anytime in any case - theres not even a choice for those of us that appreciate and want top quality.
For those that are happy to listen to Ipods and think they are hearing the music, downloadable movie content will give them as much quality as they crave. Those that appreciate fidelity though, only have one choice - as downloadable content is not even close to the quality of a Blu ray disc (or a HD DVD disc for that ...
Far be it for me to fan the flames, but I can see whay people moan.
Over a five year life span thats the price of another machine for something thats free on all PS3's or PC's. Not only do they charge you to play online games, but they also insist you swallow their advertsing too. Lets also remember that the service offered is P2P for online games - no server cost involved, so to fleece its customers for money when they are such a ridiculously rich company anyway, is a little g...
Thus appears to be Diablo with better combat so if 10 hours is even close to being correct, thats a real short game for this sort of dungeon crawl.
Particularly when you realise that there are long cut scenes that can't be skipped, so a proportion of that time must be cut scene time.
I hope the guys wrong, but it looks like this is shapping up to be a disappointment.
Thats pretty much exactly what it is - and its well worth checking out.
Try picking up no2 for the PS2, I really enjoyed it.
These titles have not tradionally been graphically intense, but have delivered where it counts for me. This one seems to be keepign that tradition alive, with little to really show it as next gen, but I'm willing to bet the story and scenario's are as engaging as ever...
<sarcasm mode on>
The ability to play at 30 fps instead of 60fps?
<sarcasm off>
Seriously, E.A. have a track record of seriously under performing on the PS3 platform, so I'd rather they spent their efforts making damn sure the thing performed properly!
Assuming they have, any extra mode is a worthwhile addition! :)
Nice trailer.
I didn't need any convincing to put my money down for this as the last one was one of my highlighhts for last year - but it gets the anticopation mounting. I don't expect insomniac to let me down...
I guess their was always a danger that those people not knowledgeable about how games work, would assume they could do everything with every title immediately.
Firmware 2.4 provides the framework for these features to work. They cannot update old titles themselves and never pretended they could. They will require new titles to be compatable of course, but they need to encourage developers of older titles to make a patch to include this fuctionality.
Anyone expect...
