Any machine can handle any game.
You could get a DS version of MG4 if you tried.
FF13 is almostly completely designed for the PS3, but given the style of game it is, it shouldn't be too hard to port it over for 360. If they need too they can optomise the game assets and textures appropriately or make changes to the physics engine to ensure the engine runs fine. Theres no reason why a decent port can't be made of any game. Its likely that such ports would not be ...
Glad to see the shares rise a little.
Square make games I enjoy playing. I'm happy to see them get a bit more return as it means I'm likely to get play more games from them.
Who cares which bit of plastic plays it?
Those concerned about potential delays, need to read the clarification statements from Square themselves rather than listening to the usual internet chatter.
Delivery of the game will be first in Japan, at which point they will st...
I thought this looked brilliant in every way.
What are you people looking at?
Epic environments, great lighting model and a coherent visual style.
If you're not stoked for this, then you simply can't be a gamer...
GOW2 comparisons are inevitable given the console 'puberty wars' and their simialr release dates. GOW2 is also a fine looking game and I'll be buying both, but I prefer the visual style of this from what I've seen so far. ...
This is shaping up nicely - I'm excited to get more from this one!
I loved this title on 360 and I'm looking forward to playing it with extra content on PS3 too, lovely!
" But anyone who likes a decent action title with massive Diablo/WOW loot, grinding, stats, skill trees and crafting will dig this"
The only problem here is that it's not 'massive' at all.
Flawed as it is, it IS the kind of title I like to play, but longevity is the name of the game for a title like this and 10 hours for this kind of title is fatal.
I'd forgive the poor graphics, the clunky camera - it doesn't matter too much. But I can't forgive...
@ jkoz
Sorry dude, but I just don't see it that way.
Of course exclusives help to sell systems a bit (but not nearly as much as people would have you believe), but this title becoming multi platform is not a 'killer blow' and really doesn't do much damage at all if you look at the big picture.
.. I know it won't make me popular to say so, but the reason its getting so much ridculous comment is simply this: BRAGGING RIGHTS.
People sim...
Seriously?? You guys are that upset that 360 owners will get to play FF13?
Its just gone multi plat - its not like its dropped from Ps3 or anything? More people get to play it.. fine by me. If you want to play sily kid machine wars, you can take solace in the fact that it will be a minimum of 4 discs on 360 and just one bluray for PS3...
If it had gone exc lusive to 360, I might have understood the reaction.. but it simply multi plat. IMHO its about the only rais...
This looked super-weak.
Good luck to them and everything, but it really wasn't what I wanted to see...
This looked great - looking forward to playing this one! :)
I guess they could be saving it for after the sony conference - a kind of spoiler! :)
I don't download movies, and I have the other machines too.
So for me - its just the killer GOW2 and Fable 2 of intrest.
Given that we knew about these, I'm really dissapointed theres no Halo title, no mention of Forza3 and no new exclusive IP's for core gamers.
Liked the redesigned dash a lot though, very stylish. Hate the Avatars.
B - should try harder for the core audience.
If you download movies - it was great!
The new dash is also excellent - though the least said about the 'Mii Too's' the better.
GOW2 looked freakem awesome.
..and FF13 is a real head turner - no mistake.
BUT..... it was dissapointing to me to see no new Halo game. No new 'core fanchises'.
First party development is firmly targetting the familly market with the MS versions of 'Buzz', 'Eye Toy' and 'Sing Star' being big announcement...
I had to smile when Don came up with this! :)
He obviously flies in the face of the analysts who are calling it different, but I guess time will tell.
Ones things for sure, its going to need a reversal of the current trends for this statement to become true, and its going to take a biut more than GOW2, FF13 and a buch of casual party games to copmpletetly reverse the trends.
If Sony were standing still, maybe they could reverse the current trends, ...
About time!
Lets face it - the blades was an awful interface and its about time MS realised it and started again. Like some of the new features and the interface is slick. Nice one.
But I absolutely ate the 'Mii too's'.
I'm all for avatars, but I don't want one loooking like that to represent me or my friends, its so stupidly childish. I really wish they had allowed a bigger varience in look.
It's obvious from the whole E3 presentation tha...
@ Thor
Can you not spot the irony? :)
So a guy named after the greek god of thunder, types
"All it seems like is a game where you can shoot lightning bolts at people..."
Don't want the competition eh?? :)

It always helps to have more sources!
I'm really looking forward to seeing this one - the bits we've seen look very promising indeed!
There Sony solution was ADDITIONAL control options, whilst still leaving you with a decent level of normal control.
As expected, some developers utilised it wisely - some didn't.
Titles like Folklore and Brunswick Bowling, show it can be a very cool addition to the control options, and theres plenty of mainstrem titles that play with stadard controls but have some cool six axis additional functionality too (the heavenly sword arrow sections spring to mind, as does Glave aftertou...
Is it just me or do all these plastic add-ons remind you of the kitchen gadgets you end up sticking in a draw and forgetting you've got?
To my mind, there's only few titles that have really exploited the current system properly. I'd like to see more killer games like Metroid and Galaxey that use the contoller well, then 'yet another add-on'.
Thanks - looked up soem clarification and its still not essentially clear. The exact quote I've got is :
"We're ready to start developing FFXIII for 360," he said. "First, we will complete the game for PS3 in Japan, then begin localization for America and Europe while developing the 360 version simultaneously. The PS3 and 360 versions will be released at the same time outside of Japan ? although, due to language and other conditions, the game may not be released simu...
