The best game are the ones that never come on any best games list, and come as a pleasant surprise when you play them - Ratchet, Flower, Modnations and infamous come to mind.

Shooting - everyone know MS invented console shooter games with Halo, and everyone else copied them - Goldeneye actually copied them 5 years before halo

Nintendo has always been great at designing controllers and innovative control systems, I believe they introduced analog with the N64, and the gamecube controller is still my favourite. However, they have been pretty poor in terms of innovation in games for several years now, recycling the same old franchises.
As for achievements, thats not really a major innovation, more like an additional feature - I pity those who play games not for gameplay but for achievements.
Cant agree more. I bought this imported for £65 a few months back – what a rip off!
Though Gears 2 has sold more, its fair to say neither GeOW2 or KZ2 is a system seller, neither game managed to move significantly higher number of consoles.
I personally found Splinter Cell (despite its lower resolution) and Batman: Arkham (played on PS3, I would assume 360 is comparable) to be better looking games than Gears 2.
Sounds like its low enough to be a non-issue.

Though I really loved KZ2, I think its a bit sad that they didnt bring in more of the brilliant back story of the game. Probably one of the best stories in a videogame outside of the big budget RPGs
Reviews seem to suggest controls similar to BF:BC, some feeling of weight but not going the CoD/Halo route completely
My main wish is co-op. That was the best part of games like Resistance 2, Uncharted 2 and Spliner Cell conviction.

Its a remix of the rebel army theme from FF II. Better versions available on youtube than this one, but still sounds amazing.
This game is just pure fun, loving the small touches such as the commentary or the cute way your mod throws up his/her arms when you customise the gloves. Dont even mind the load times, its fun talking to the other racers and admiring their mods.
Hope you get that offer soon! Ordinarily you could just rent it, but this game looks like something you have to keep for some months at least.

Ya, the PC version looks to have a lot of the features the PC community has been demanding from CoD for a long time.
Haven't followed news on this game, a few details seem exciting:
* “barebones” game mode: As the name implies, there won’t be any perks or killstreaks, just old school gameplay.
* Auto-Aim can be turned on/off.
* Dedicated servers in PC
* Supports 2 player offline split-screen. It won’t be based on the singleplayer campaign.
Looks like they have listened to feedback and will actually improve on a lot of aspects of the CoD franchise.

FACT: the bugs are annoying, but they are just that, bugs. Please inform us which "features" the update has removed, as gthe article claims.
FACT: UC2 is much better off in terms of glitches, bugs and imbalanced gameplay than its main competitor.
And yes, I am definitely a Naughty Dog fanboy. Thats because they are responsible for some of the best gaming I have had the last 3 years.
