The point here is not sales or scores. The point is, KZ2 got nitpicked to death (as did Ratchet and Resistance 2) for not being "innovative" - although these games actually introduced more new or fresh concepts than CoD MW2 or Halo 3.

A long rambling post which basically says $300 over the 6 years lifetime of the 360 is worth spending for cross game chat and in-game music, even if the actual gameplay suffers from P2P servers, glitches and host advantage.
And yet we had people complaining about the 60 GB PS3 at launch being too expensive - that was $200 for blu-ray, bigger hard drive, wifi, rechargeable batteries, near-zero defect rates, free online, nearly complete backwards compatibility with PS2 games

Well, not many PS3 owners bought MAG, maybe 25% of CoD? People defend it because the game is good, not becuase its some kind of champion for the PS3. Of course you may not get it - but then I sold CoD MW2 in 2 days, found it awful. its a matter of taste. If you like SOCOM kind of tactical shooters, great game.

Uncharted and Ratchet, games released within its first 12 months, still look better than any 360 exclusive - and their gameplay is pretty good as well.

I may be wrong, but from what I remember there were two PS2-specific chips. One was the processor, which was removed from the 80GB model with BC. But those 80GB BC models still needed to have the second PS2 chip, which was equivalent to the graphics card.
This second card was based on EDRAM, similar to the 10MB chip on the 360 processor which handles AA. This EDRAM chip cannot be replaced by emulation because of its huge bandwidth -the chip had low memory size, just 4MB, but offset by...
I think Halo already has dedicated servers. But I am amazed that people still justify $300 lifetime costs for XBOX Live for what is an inferior online experience. I guess thats first mover advantage - just because Live came first with a decent online on consoles, they get away with it.
Cant agree more. Having played L4D, which is mainly coop - R2's coop is better, plus it has decent single-player and exclellent multi-player, yet you hear more praise for L4D, strange.
