The consequence of people getting what they disagree with censored like this is that eventually everything gets censored. Funny thing is that most people won't even notice because it happens one step at a time... then one day they wake up and realize they're living in a world filled with nothing interesting and no freedom of choice, and wonder, "How did things get so bad?".

Yeah, it was the first game with geometry-based foliage. Everything else was sprite-based before that.
Honestly though, Turok 2 had some of the sickest graphics on the N64, and it supported real-time shadows on up to 8 light sources at once. It was unprecedented as well. I didn't like how scarce resources became when you'd have to go back into previous levels though.

Here's a tip for beginners, don't buy it in the first place. Seriously, $10 for an extra game save? I get Game Pass for 30 days for $10...

Shouldn't the games you own be able to come with you when a new generation starts? When you get a new iPhone, do you have to buy all your iTunes over again? Would you defend that too?
Maybe I should have called Sony's approach Games as a Disservice instead, because it's not benefitting any gamer when Sony rereleases the popular old games because yours simply can't play on a PS4. It'll be rinse-repeat come PS5 too, where you can buy the re-rereleases, ...
It's amazing what Undead Labs were able to do with settings, environments, and sounds to create an unbelievable atmosphere that overcame all of its "indie game" qualities. Certainly one of the most realistic, "believable" zombie games and up there with The Walking Dead, and I hope that they produce better than the original with more time and money invested in SoD2!

GaaS is a way of combatting the rising costs of developing games with cutting edge graphics. It's evolved because games like COD and GTA online are successful. If it's done right, like Halo 5 and SoT, then it makes the game better for all players and not just the ones that buy stuff.
P2W games otoh, can just crawl in a hole and die. Really though, it's a fine line devs have to walk in order to keep GaaS from being something that takes advantage of consumers. ...

On topic, I am glad to hear about new features coming to the console, and also look forwards to upcoming game announcements (and possibly studio acquisitions) as well. MS is working on all of these things as we speak.

Yeah, Paradise totally ruined Crash mode. It went from a puzzle game to random chaos I had to mute the tv to even engage in. It was so annoying.
TheXtReMe1, the point of dynamic resolution is that the game's frame rate is locked to 60fps and the resolution is what changes instead, so it's the resolution changes that need to be measured. But yeah, a comparison would be nice. TBH though, I seldom notice dynamic scaling when I'm playing anyways.
