They keep getting stuck to my keys... it's rather inconvenient. \ö/
I agree.
Any game on both DC and PS2 looked better on the "inferior" DC. In contrast, nobody cared that XBOX was almost 3x more powerful than PS2. It's about games; Sony had them all in the PS2 era but now all we care about is graphics. Both companies have great games to play this gen.

@angelic
Also, Microsoft and its development partners are prevented from full disclosure of certain elements due to an NDA. AMD couldn't even fully disclose DX12 at GDC.
The clear winner is the console which has the features you want.
A data sheet is not an absolute number which is why, for example, some games which are CPU bound (like AC Unity with all it's AI) run better on XB1. Besides, the difference is narrower to the eyes than spec sheets declare, as most people don't see the differences anyways.

Rally confirmed for Forza 6? I could go for a good rally game, hasn't been a good one since Rallisport Challenge/Colin McCrae.
Standby uses 12.5 watts, compared to 18 when it first launched. Full shutdown uses only 1/2 a watt.
It's been a long time since I bought XB1, but I seem to recall that upon initial setup the system takes you through all of those setup options anyways so you don't have to find it(not that Settings is hard to find anyways).
@dantesparda
Where did I mention PS4 when talking about the internal temperature of XB1? I said the console ran cooler than if the brick were inside.
I mentioned other benefits as well. I had to replace the brick on my 360 after a power surge but my BluRay player, which also fried, had to be sent in for repairs. I got another supply at Gamestop that day and my BluRay player took 3 weeks to come back. The same is true of a controller with an integrated battery...
Why do you keep including the books? They're about as cannon to the story as Star Wars novels are to the films. The Precursors were part of Bungie's story, not some random author's book. This "new" enemy made the Halo System, and us, amongst other things. Why, for example, was Master Chief called the Reclaimer by 343 Guilty Spark? I'm fine if you don't like it though; I just think you're mistaken about how it all fits together.
@kurruptor
Why does everyone pull the same quotes, which are months old, out every time they want to start a pissing contest? Phil was saying other things then too, like how he completely understated the gains PC would see. Brad Wardell even called out the fact that companies involved were doing this.
What is XB1 good at though? Full, hardware accelerated DX12. So the specs remain the same, but processing gets an efficiency boost. And it won't be dram...
@outthink
So true. When DX12 launches, games running DX12 won't be running Full DX12 either. Devs have to design their games to use the hardware which will take time. That's why I believe Phil is managing expectations at launch.
The XB1 runs way cooler with all that extra space in the console from using an external power supply. As for the brick, what does the back of your entertainment center look like? On the floor right beside the 360 brick works fine for me.
OT:
To me external is better. If an XB1 power supply fails I can buy a new one so there's no need to send out for repairs. I feel the same about rechargeable AA's vs proprietary batteries in the controller. A 4 pa...
Sorry, kurruptor, but it's not your business to decide. Companies, like Tecmo with the Sigma series of Ninja Gaiden, do it to garner additional sales from previous owners. What type of extra stuff is still up to the developer to decide. If MS wants to, they can change again too.
It will be year or two until Full DX12 game engines hit retail, but I think even at launch its doption rate will be high because most 3rd party is also on PC and DX12 is the future of PC as well.
The story in 4 is coherent to the originals. The Precursors were first mentioned, by Bungie, in the extra material from the limited/legendary editions of Halo 3 when describing the various stages of evolution of civilization.
Why not? Lots of devs have exclusive content, like the exclusive missions in Assassin's Creed. It could be skins, weapons, armor, vehicles, or whatever. Nothing major is necessary.
You realize that Full DX12 offers a synergy between the API and hardware specifically built for DX12 to run on? AMD and MS built the XB1 with Full DX12 support that is essentially a blueprint for all future PC cards to be built upon. There are hardware accelerated features in XB1 that are either not used yet, or used inefficiently until DX12 arrives.
Don't expect to see the real benefits overnight though. It'll be a a year or two until Full DX12 GFX engines are in...
@edmix
I wish I could provide links when I post, but I surf the web on XB1 and can't copy/paste any links to prove my point(MS, please fix this and release a chat pad). I remember reading about it in an old Game Informer.
Yes, of a team of individuals that designed cutting edge games. That makes him responsible for the direction of his staff and the games they make.
That stupid talking dog though, "SEGA!" lol
