Without competition, there is no industry. Phil is just being nice, like when boxers hug after a fight. Fanboys like you are like murderers. Grow up.
It's value vs. originality.
Good name = Keeping it exactly the same but proving to the world that you can count past 3.
Edit:
Very Original. Way to think "outside the Box".
You didn't even need to click the article to know it's a new engine. Why even come here and post if you don't read the article or play the game? Whether you are or not you sound like a troll.
I want a track editor modelled after Far Cry's editor. You'd never run out of tracks then!
@bakpain
The Witcher devs never worked with a full DX12 graphics card. They probably don't realize that a ground up DX12 engine will support hardware accelerated tiled resources, putting 6gb of tiled resources into 32mb of eDSRAM. That's more texture data than either console has available main memory to work with.
@gfk342
They have given DX11 a DX12 makeover, but cannot use the DX12 hardware until Win10/full DX12 is ready. I'm assuming Ge...
It will feel more like a guitar when you climb up the scales. I think it's better, but they will lose badly to Rock Band if they don't let you use the songs from last gen. A hybrid controller with a full sized neck, placing the new buttons by the headstock and the old ones right below them would be ideal.
Real life FTW!

Phil said won't be a massive change, but it'll help devs take advantage of what XB1 is good at. Again, I have to remind you that the XB1 is hardware accelerated DX12 and that tiled resources alone can put 6gb of texture data, aka shading (so the Witcher dev is wrong), into the 32mb eSRAM. This means that all the DDR3 is free to process other stuff. The fact that all the CPUs will have full access to the gpu adds a significant number of draw calls as well, whi...
I heard rumors of a 6 core tablet with attatchable controls that will handle extra WiiU processing when linked to the console.
Time to buy another DS revision.
@gamenamefame
So now you can use a single quote from a dev supporting your stance, but those you troll cannot the multiple quotes of Brad Wardell stating otherwise? Brad has worked more closely with DX12 and AMD than any other dev so far. The Witcher devs haven't even used DX12 yet.
For reference neither dev's quotes have been confirmed, but AMD used Brad's quotes exclusively in their GDC presentation which makes him more qualified to talk DX12 ...
It's a BMW M1, not 1M.
They need to focus on all the aspects, like AI, customization, physics, graphics, and social activities... instead of 1,000 cars. Quality takes time to develop, scanning cars into a game is time consuming but offers little substance to a franchise.
The game shouldn't visit history, it should be history. The series lost it's way when Desmond died and now they're just milking it to death. I'm tired of waiting for a conclusion.
Who want's to wear a headset while watching tv?
All 3 companies have shoddy practices. Only One of them seems to care enough to admit when they make mistakes or try to fix them. The other two try to hide theirs because most people act on blind faith and won't notice anyways.
Remember getting milked out of $600 for a system with inferior graphics packed full of multimedia features instead of games support?
The one it lost when Forza 2 came out? Unlikely. It's always been like a supermodel with an IQ of 85 you met in a hospital. Forza is smart, creative, good to look at and passionate in bed. Plus all the meaningful cars are there in Forza without all the unnecessary model years trying to make the game look bigger like a set of fake boobs.

You're a smart guy that's really good at twisting the words of others to make them look foolish.
No one has worked with hardware accelerated DX12 features on XB1 because those features are not activated yet. The Witcher devs have not yet worked with a full DX12 graphics card running DX12. My statements are not in conflict. It's like running an engine on gas that was designed to run on alcohol; same hardware but different results.
